Our remote OFF GRID Hideaway (NO RUNNING WATER) gives visitors an experience of wilderness a few short miles from Two Harbors and the shore of Lake Superior. Limited solar power is supplemented by battery, and propane lights. Furnace and oven/stove are propane. (NO refrigerator) There is a vault privy (no bathroom), a grill, fire pit and indoor wood stove. We supply firewood and water for washing dishes and hands. Hike or snowshoe 20 acres of onsite trails or nearby SHT and state parks.

Fox+Fern Cottage is your cozy home away from home. Our Cottage is walkable to nearly everything in Two Harbors. We are a mile walk to the lake and less than that to Castle Danger Brewery. Fantastic base to explore the North Shore (see reviews). Our yard is a quiet oasis with outdoor seating and swings galore. This cabin was built for family gatherings and a recreational retreat and has been in the family for years. We offer a place to sleep 4 with a pull-out couch, full kitchen, bar area, dining table and a small bathroom with a shower and sink. We also have an outside hydrant to rinse off your equipment or clean your fish and game. Be on the lookout for Moose, Deer, Bear, Fox, Grouse, and many of birds and listen for an occasional Timber Wolf in the night. Trailer parking is onsite.
