Cottage holiday rentals in Blaye

We have just stayed at this beautiful AirBnB and we didn’t want to leave to come home! The gite is stylishly decorated with everything you would need for a home from home! The attention to detail from the host is impeccable with welcome gift and gorgeous table laid up for dinner on arrival!! The location is wonderful! Peaceful and surrounded by vineyards! It is not far to the local village and we had a delicious meal in one of the restaurants Karine recommended. She had even gone to the effort of ringing round the restaurants to check which would be open as we arrived on a French holiday! Karine offered a friendly welcome and had plenty of recommendations for restaurants, bakery’s and places to visit nearby! The gite was spotlessly clean and the hot tub was a nice relaxing bonus! Overall we had a fantastic stay at Karine’s place and we would not hesitate to return in the future! Thank you Karine!

We booked Maddy‘s place very last minute. She was very amicable and got the place ready quickly for us! The upstairs mezzanine was perfect t for ours kids. Maddy and her family were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely visit again if we’re passing through. The house was perfect for two adults three children and a dog. Our children are aged 8, 10 and 12 and we enjoyed cycling out to the local town and playing by the swimming pool. The kids loved feeding the goat, there were chickens too. They loved the owners dog too! We visited Royan, it’s approx 30 minutes drive. I would throughly recommend this place!

Louise et Mickael nous ont très bien accueillis, avec en plus une bouteille de vin blanc et des bières au frais ! Très appréciable ! Nous avons passé une semaine de vacances agréable au Moulin Chaillou. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine, que les enfants ont adorée (4 ans et 1 an). Tous les commerces sont à proximité, la plage est à 45 minutes, ainsi que l'aquarium, etc. Si besoin, n'hésitez pas, Louise et Mickael sont là pour répondre à vos besoins.

Almost don’t want to say how lovely, as will make it more competitive to book to go back! In a word - glorious! - The gite, gardens and grounds and pool are kept beautifully. Gite was spotless and very well equipped (including lots of goodies on arrival, garden games to use there - kids were very happy - charcoal ready for the bbq etc), huge comfortable beds, and wood fired hot tub to sit and look at the stars. - Stunning surrounding views (endless fields of sunflowers) and lovely shady woods to be walk. - Lots of pretty villages - particularly Aubeterre with its central square and river beach worth the short drive (under 20 mins). We also loved the big river beach at St Aulaye (c.40 mins). - Meg and Mark are kind, fun and knowledgeable hosts who were perfect balance of around and incredibly helpful - but very much left us to just relax and enjoy the gite/pool as our own. - Shopping v easy at local supermarkets, various markets and nearby village shop/butchers. Thank you!!

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end dans ce logement confortable et spacieux. L'emplacement permet de profiter du calme. La décoration charmante ajoutait une touche agréable à notre séjour. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les équipements et la propreté des lieux, la cuisine fonctionnelle et le confort de la literie. Nous avons eu quelques fourmis dans la chambre mais rien de grave. Nous avons réservé une séance privée de 1h30 au spa jacuzzi, c'était divin ! Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte accueillant pour un séjour relaxant et dépaysant... Merci

Notre séjour c'est très bien passé dans cette jolie maison bien équipée. Les hôtes sont très arrangeants et flexibles. En été, avec le jacuzzi, la piscine, la cuisine d'été et la grande terrasse cela doit être superbe ! Le seule petit hic s'il doit y en avoir un est la localisation avec un logement qui n'est pas simple à trouver, en grande partie à cause de Waze qui nous envoie dans un chemin assez loin derrière la maison. La voiture est nécessaire pour ce logement. Merci pour cet agréable séjour entre amis :)

La maison de Robert est parfaite pour un anniversaire avec une quinzaine de personnes. Mention spéciale pour la terrasse et la vue, ainsi que la « salle de bal » ! Dommage que le jacuzzi ait décidé d’être capricieux

L’appartement est fidèle à la description et très propre. Très bien équipé. La communication avec l’hôte était parfaite. Tout était fidèle ! Je recommande.

Excellent, rien à redire. Nous avons même étendu notre séjour pour profiter un peu plus ;) Logement très fonctionnel, très bien équipé, paisible, super terrasse pour prendre le soleil. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

Super week-end chez Fanny et Nicolas. La maison est géniale et si paisible qu’on aimerait y rester quelques semaines histoire de se ressourcer. Plein d’activités disponibles, un immense terrain avec de beaux animaux autour. Bref juste parfait. Sinon les hôtes sont super réactifs, la maison est propre et très fonctionnelle. Rien à dire nous y retournerons

The hosts were nice and friendly, they gave us recommendations where to go and what to do. The place is big quite and in front of beautiful nature. I would highly recommend it.

Très bon séjour chez Sébastien et Agnès. Le logement correspond totalement à sa description, il est fonctionnel et dispose de tous le nécessaire. Sébastien est réactif et donne de nombreux conseils sur les bonnes adresses locales.

Whilst driving through France with our dog, we saw this gorgeous place was available and thought we had to come and stay, and I’m so glad we did! It felt like we discovered such a gem in a gorgeous setting. The hosts could not do more for us to ensure we had a good time staying - even going as far as finding us a Cognac tour that was open on a Sunday and allowed us to bring our dog to, just so we could enjoy what the area does best! It felt like a huge hug being welcomed into Jonathan & Samantha’s place, with fresh baked goods dropped off in the morning and some really beautiful touches throughout our stay, it really was so perfect. We already can’t wait to come back. Thank you! X

Un séjour PARFAIT! Avant notre arrivée, Alexis a pris le temps d'échanger avec nous, de valider les différents points d'attention et de nous donner toutes les infos pour une arrivée sereine. A notre arrivée & pendant notre séjour, que de bonnes surprises, tout est conforme à la description et nos attentes: le quartier est calme, facile d'accès et de stationnement, le jardin est cosy et entretenu, la maison est propre/ rangée/ sans odeurs/ décorée avec beaucoup goût et de personnalité, la plage et le centre ville à quelques pas, Alexis aux petits soins même de loin! GROS PLUS quand on voyage avec un bébé (cela vous fera peut-être rire, mais nous avons eu des expériences compliquées dans les deux locations précédentes!): le lit parapluie est proposé par Alexis, avec un vrai matelas. Pas de portes et de parquet qui grince et encore moins de ventilation faisant un bruit tonitruant, la maison est vraiment très calme. Il y a une vraie chambre enfant fermée par une porte et avec un volet.

We all had a fantastic week at Le Pible. There are so many things we could say about this beautiful place - the setting was amazing at all times of the day and we loved watching the deer and horses roaming across the fields. The cottage and gite were both well equipped and comfortable and the beautifully presented gite gave us extra space which was much appreciated. On arrival there was a packed welcome tray which was both thoughtful and enjoyed during the week. Without a doubt, the swimming pool was a favourite for us all especially as the week we were staying there was a very hot week. It was immaculately clean and we loved the salt water. Our hosts could not have been more helpful and replied to any questions extremely promptly. We unreservedly recommend Le Pible as a fabulous holiday home and have made many happy memories by staying there.

chalet parfait pour passer quelques jours en famille , nous y avons passé un week-end avec notre fils et avons été très satisfait . Tout le nécessaire est présent dans le logement . Le confort est très correct et l'emplacement était bien situé . À quelques minutes de la dune du Pilat , de la mer , d'Arcachon ou du zoo local et d'un tas d'activités . Ce fut une belle occasion de découvrir la région . Merci aux hôtes qui se sont montrés très réactifs .

wij hebben genoten van de stilte, ruimte en rust maar juist ook van de bedrijvigheid in het sluisje. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien, dus ook op een koudere regenachtige dag, waar we er maar 2 van hadden in 18 dagen tijd, voorziet het huis in behoefte. De nieuwe airco op de slaapkamer is een genot op zeer warme dagen. Opvallend was dat er zeer weinig muggen waren, ondanks de waterrijke omgeving. Er was niets dat ons tegenviel.

Super endroit dans le calme, et hote très sympa et accueillante.

Très bon séjour passé chez Guillemette. Nous étions 4 personnes avec un bébé de 2 ans. La maison est très spacieuse, très fonctionnelle, lumineuse, propre. Un endroit très calme en bord de forêt entouré de chats, de poules et de chiens. L'endroit avec la maison est paisible. Du repos assuré. C'était un très agréable séjour passé chez Guillemette qui est très agréable. Je recommande fortement pour des vacances entre amis et/ou en famille avec ou sans enfants.

Nous avons apprécié les qualités d'accueil de Patricia. La petite maison est située dans un environnement calme en dehors de la saison touristique. La maison est bien décorée sur le thème "marin" , très bien équipée et fonctionnelle pour un couple. L'environnement immédiat est très bien entretenu. Nous y étions dans le cadre d'un week-end vélo.
