Holiday rentals in Bowerston

I planned a surprise fishing trip for my husband and chose Creekside Cabins after talking to the very helpful host, Debbie. The directions were clear, and the old barn landmark made it easy to find. We immediately thought, “We should bring the whole family next time!” The Shanty and the big cabin are close together, but noise wasn’t much of an issue. Inside our cabin, we hardly noticed neighbors. The first night it rained, so we grilled and relaxed in the cozy rocking chairs. The bed was very soft — I prefer firmer, but it was comfortable. Mornings with coffee on the patio overlooking the river were peaceful. My husband spent the weekend fishing while I read by the fire pit. The shared shower house was large and clean with good hot water and pressure. We’re already planning to return! Bonus: my husband broke his line trying to reel in a 3-footer and caught several carp — it’s definitely a good fishing spot!

We do an annual getaway to somewhere "remote" in Ohio and this was a perfect spot. The property was gorgeous and so much room for the dogs to run around and play. My nephew went fishing but was unsuccessful so we had to make dinner 🤣 The house was so cute and perfect for our stay. We also used the grill and the hot tub and cornhole boards! The hostess was responsive when we had questions and easy directions for check-in and check out. Highly recommend!

Had a great stay at Christine’s!! Beautiful surroundings, big beautiful space in the apartment, and everything was so CLEAN! Nice and relaxing getaway, and I highly recommend!

HIGHLY recommend. This was truly a country getaway. It felt disconnected enough, while still a decent distance from city/Salem and downtown Lisbon. Everything was perfect, clean, very comfortable, very spacious, clear instructions for the property, great living room space with tv with good streaming options. This was a perfect experience for our family trip of 5 adults. We had so much space and enjoyed cooking meals for our entire 1 week stay. We even had a night to cook on the grill. The view of the sunset from the property is amazing. Really great location, a lot of yard space to hang out in privacy. Laura is also very friendly and welcoming and accommodating.

This place was fantastic. Such a beautiful, comfortable home with everything we needed plus more! I loved all the thoughtful details for us and the decor. All the rooms were comfortable and my family and I had such a wonderful time. It is so close to campus and the softball field (where we were most of the weekend!). Definitely will be back here again.

Glad we stayed here. Everything you could ever need for a getaway is there. Fire pits, grill, water dispenser, washer and dryer, comfy beds and furniture. The lists goes on. Sarah truly thought of everything. Fantastic communication and easy to follow directions to get there. Best of all we can bring out dog. We had such a good time just relaxing over an open fire or just having a cup of joe. Shower was awesome with lots of hot water. The place was clean and so inviting. Highly recommended and will definitely return for another stay.

This charming little place is just as described. Quiet and peaceful, a great place to kick back and relax. Christine is a thoughtful host. She had the place warm and cozy up on arrival. From the toasty fireplace, to the loaf of homemade bread. We definitely recommend the stay.
