Carr Cottage is a characterful 19th century mill workers' dwelling situated in the heart of the Pennines in the beautiful Luddenden Valley with a multitude of walks and footpaths. Close to Halifax and its historic Piece Hall or Hebden Bridge with its vibrant arts and crafts scene. We are dog friendly with excellent walks for dogs and their people. Dogs must not be left unattended on the during your stay. Carr Cottage is cycle friendly with classic road or off road routes right rom the doorstep.

Our lovely little outer house forms part of a grade 2 listed house set in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire country side on the outskirts of Halifax. Newly renovated, the contemporary space is warm and welcoming with great walks, cycle routes and pubs right on the door step. Rest and relax after a day of exploring, with great routes to Hebden Bridge, Sowerby Bridge, Haworth and The Calder valley.

We converted the Old Piggery over 20 years ago, and have recently done a full refurbishment. It now has a cosy snug with a sofa as well as a lounge with far-reaching views. There is an ensuite bathroom and downstairs, a shower and toilet. The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor with a king-sized, chunky farmhouse bed with an extremely comfortable mattress. The lounge area has a Laura Ashley sofa and snuggle chair positioned to take in a far-reaching views or a 43 inch TV if you prefer!
