Le Petit Toit Gîte at La Charpenterie

Newly refurbished for the 2024 season, self-catering gîte for two in rural France, offering a double bedroom, en-suite walk-in shower room, open plan living with log fire and two private patio areas. It's a wonderful situation at the head of the beautiful Gatine valley. Ideal any season for walking, cycling or simply taking time out. In the winter months you’ll be cozy with the log burner - and there are heaters if you need extra warmth in a cold snap - just ask, we’re always nearby to help.

Our cottage has been sympathetically renovated and is a uniquely individual space retaining a wealth of originality, blended perfectly with a contemporary feel. We can welcome 6, with two double bedrooms and a large double sofa-bed in the galleried landing area. A spacious living area leads to a quiet outdoor patio with rural views. The grounds the cottage are located in are surrounded by a large moat which contains unprotected deep water. Unsuitable for young unsupervised children.

Located in the countryside close to all amenities, 12 min from downtown Niort, 20 min from the Poitevin marsh, 50 min from La Rochelle, 1 hour from the beaches and Puy du Fou Futuroscope. Our accommodation is located among animals with panoramic views of the wallabies and deer park. A visit to the parks is possible

In the grounds of a turreted 15th century château - featured in a number of homes & interiors magazines - this beautifully converted, spacious, former stables is set in glorious gardens with views over our 10-acre truffle orchard. Full of character and charm, thick local limestone stone walls keep the house cool in summer yet cosy during the colder, truffle-hunting months. The covered terrace is perfect for alfresco dining and has an uninterrupted view of the gardens.

Ultra cozy 16 m² nest, in the heart of our estate, discreetly set under the trees, on a rocky promontory overlooking one of the ponds. Push the door and discover its superb chestnut dome frame, its ideal intimacy, and its atmosphere that is both country and romantic to spend an unforgettable time together. Double bed, breakfast area; kettle, coffee maker, tea and coffee available. Toilets and showers in the campsite's sanitary block, nearby. Sheets optional.

Located in the heart of Deux-Sèvres, Le Presbytère des Groseillers, is perfectly placed to shine between Gâtine, Parthenay, Niort, Marais Poitevin, La Rochelle, La Vendée and Puy du Fou. In addition to the surrounding countryside and the creek of L'Autize, hosts can enjoy on-site painting exhibitions and music instruments (piano, guitar, percussion). In a green setting we offer a quiet, warm, self-contained loft, a short walk from the city center, close to shops and 20'walk to the SNCF train station. We have kept the authenticity of the place and provide a complete service (linens, cleaning, hot drinks, private parking for your bikes or motorcycles only, firewood...). On 40M² we host independently from 1 to 4 people (a queen bed, a 130 sofa bed).
