Monthly Rentals in Chaukhuta

We, family of 3 including a teen, stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days - and my experience as below. Found this after scouting many places/ reviews on airbnb - We were not let down when we checked in. Great host who was in constant touch since the time we booked our acco. Parking - is a little bit away from the resort, and would give yourself a nice little cardio but no worries as the staff help in getting your luggage across. Excellent support staff - Dhiraj and Tara Bhai - extremely helpful and warm. Though we drove down in our car, we hired a car to get to Almora and the staff helped us with their local contacts and arranged our local conveyance. Food - tell your preference in advance - some recommended - pahadi chicken curry/ dhal. Also must try their paneer and bread pakoras - surprisingly very light and fluffy. All in all - worthy of a stay if you wanted a place away from the hustle bustle of typical tourist commercials spots that can get over crowded - and this fit our bill.

Excellent stay. Superb location. Excellent views of snow clad Himalayan peaks with sunrise. Superb caring host. Willing to help caretaker. Very peaceful. That broadly sums up our experience at Sunny's place-- Villa Kailasa. We were lucky enough to have all excellent Airbnb accommodations during the trip. All the facilities are as shown in the listing. There are some steps but not so difficult to negotiate. Sunny remains in touch with the guests and the caretaker is quite handy. Will definitely recommend this place to our friends & relatives.

We 4 adults and 2 teenagers stayed for 3 nights. Overall great experience. The booking includes the entire property i.e you are not sharing it with any other guests. We'll maintained property with lot of open spaces to sit out with a good valley and mountain view. Has both sunrise view in front and sunset view at back. The property itself is a big plus, however special mention to Neeraj and Manoj, caretakers who stay at the property. The food they cooked and service is excellent. Food is completely sorted. Both are very generous. They arranged barbecue and bonfire on one of the evenings. We even played cricket nearby with local kids. few points to consider though 1. From main road, it takes 15mins to reach, this stretch is under construction. drivable but not great at moment. 2. From parking one has to hike for short distance to reach property. Problem only for those with mobility issues. It's not a steep or long hike. Overall highly recommended. We would love to comeback and visit.
