Clean, well-maintained and stocked to stay. Everything works although the toilet was a little slow sometimes requiring 2 flushes. Close to ski hill that you could walk to it. Jordan gave us proper instructions on check in and finding the place. FYI, Just be aware that you have to take your own trash out of site, which is a few miles away at the village trash collection center as these buildings unfortunately do not have its own trash bins. It would have been nice to know this at the beginning as we could have taken out the trash in small installments on our various trips to eat and shop in town rather than being told about it on check out and we had lots of trash to transport last minute. We had already packed our car to the brim, ready to leave and so we had to un-pack the car to accommodate the trash, make a trip to the trash bins and then come back to re-pack our car. It was a little inconvenient. Other than that, stay was overall positive.

The Double Z Bar Ranch was everything we had hoped for & more! The house is amazing, aesthetic, unique & absolutely beautiful with great attention to detail. It felt like we were taken back in time but with all modern amenities. The location is breathtakingly beautiful, peaceful & private with an abundance of wildlife to view. Shari welcomed both of my dogs & they had the best time imaginable! It was the exact break we needed to recharge before returning to the hustle & bustle of the city & running a non profit org. Highly recommend & will definitely book again. Thank you Shari, for providing such an incredibly perfect space & for thinking of absolutely everything for your guests.

Don’s cabin was amazing! He went above and beyond as a host (even asked for our sheet preference). He was the most responsive host that I have ever had. The cabin was an authentic lake cabin that was cozy and had everything we needed. It’s a great spot if you are skiing at Angel Fire as it was 15min drive from driveway to parking lot. It’s also only 20min away to Red River and great restaurants/shopping. We really enjoyed the mud room to store skis/snowboard and wet clothes/boots. He even left us some hot chocolate and popcorn. We also really enjoyed making a fire in the cabin. Highly recommend this spot and Don as a host.

This place is in a perfect location to get anywhere in the surrounding areas. We went for ice fishing, however the lake wasnt frozen over but Anita gave suggestions of other lakes that were frozen over. The house was very nice and clean. Anita responded quickly with any questions we may have had. We will definitely book with her again! Thank you Anita!
