For recreation there is hiking in the valley and nearby conservancy areas, biking on country roads, or cross-country, downhill or snowshoeing during the snowy months. Hawthorne is a 2-hour drive from NYC or a 2-hour Amtrak ride from Penn Station to Hudson, and then a 20 minute drive by car or taxi. The house is conveniently close to the Taconic Parkway, while set in a peaceful and quiet valley.

Renovated studio in barn built circa 1830, centrally located to all activities in the Berkshires. Bright and sunny space with views of fields and spectacular sunsets. The Berkshires are beautiful in the fall , come stay ! 5 minute drive to town. Walk to the Green River , hike the trails. We provide all basic household supplies. Relax by the fire pit out back or take out our 2 two person Kayaks and enjoy the lake in the summer, visit Catamount Ski Resort or other nearby ski mountains in the winter. The large, custom dinner table seats 8 comfortably with lots of room to hang, play games, watch movies and more. Guests must be 25 years old to rent.
