Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Craig County

Great little home for a weekend getaway! The house and area were very dog friendly. It is within walking and driving distance of a lot of fun local attractions but just enough off the path to feel secluded and peaceful.

Good place in a good location. Outside the hustle and bustle of the main part of the city, but still close enough to do things. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and has a large basement area with 2 additional bedrooms. Great for my family and I to stay the night while traveling across country.

We had a great time here over our Spring Break. There is so much to do there you don't need to leave!! We loved the dock and boats, and the younger kids in our group loved the floating play mat. When it was too windy to play outside we stayed busy with ping pong, movies and PacMan. The huge kitchen had everything we needed to cook all of our meals. Stephanie was super helpful and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Really enjoyed staying here. Close to VT, large enough to have our daughter and some friends over for dinner. Very communicative owner. Will stay here again on a future visit to BBG.

Anar is a great host. Very friendly and responsive. The house was just what we needed for 1 night. It was very clean and had that homey feeling. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Location is a hidden gem. Whenever we visit the area again, this will for sure be our place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay in Christiansburg visiting our son at Tech. It was a perfect location with a quiet community and cozy, comfortable home while still being close to campus. The home was very clean and had plenty of space for all of us to feel like we could spread out a bit. Mary was very helpful, friendly and responsive. Stayed at this beautiful home as a halfway point. We were blown away with how cute and comfortable this home was. The attention to detail not only made us feel at home, but our kids as well. The artwork and furniture also made this place extra unique! Highly recommend!

The house was great for our Christmas Holiday. There was enough space to allow us to spread out and yet still be connected. The bedrooms were well situated and allowed each of us to have a quiet night's sleep. Also had the right number of bathrooms for our group. I especially liked having the ability to sit around the indoor fireplace with a fire burning and a Christmas tree in the corner. The neighborhood was great for a stroll with the kids. All-in-all this was a great location for our family reunion and Beth was very responsive to all the questions we had before and during our trip.

We loved our stay here! It was the perfect space for our family, and we were able to walk to restaurants and other activities. Highly recommend Grandin Gem!

The apartment is very comfortable and cozy feeling. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The kitchen and bathroom were both well stocked with anything we might need. Very nice outdoor sitting and eating area as well. We had such a relaxing time!

We have stayed in AirBnB all over the world. This is one of the best. Tastefully decorated with quality stuff. Very thoughtful to keep some snacks and water along with basic items for cooking that you would typically forget. This was our second stay. Will definitely be back again as our son is studying in VT.

Jamie was very responsive and kind!! Enjoyed my stay here, struggled with bug bites from some of the bedding but the stay was really nice overall and was spacious and clean.

Perfect for dog lovers and lake lovers! I’ve rented various condos at Smith Mountain Lake and several different ones at Stripers Landing, but Shannon’s place is now my new favorite. With a great view, plenty of space and the option to bring the pup - it’s such a treat. Highly recommend.

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The condo was spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained, making it feel like a home away from home. The hosts were accommodating and ensured everything was perfect for my stay. One of the best parts was the location—there were plenty of fantastic restaurants and bars within walking distance, making it easy to enjoy great food and nightlife. So convenient to the fairgrounds, especially the livestock entrance. Robbie was a great host. He responded quickly to messages, and made sure we had everything we needed. I would stay with him anytime I’m in town!

We had a great stay at this beautiful, cozy condo! The views of Smith Mountain Lake were gorgeous, and we spent a lot of time just relaxing and taking it all in. The option to choose between the screened-in and open patios was so nice to have. The condo was very clean, and the area around it is beautiful—perfect for a quiet getaway. Leslie and Craig were responsive and helpful, especially when I needed to come back to grab a few things I left behind after check-out. We also appreciated the private dock box, which had nice camping chairs for sitting by the water and floats for swimming. The condo was cozy, with plenty of blankets to keep things comfortable. We hope to be back again!

First time staying in these condos and was way better than we expected! Excellent location where felt safe and secure with the multiple locked doors and good parking (which is a big one). Had everything and more we needed for a weekend getaway. Very peaceful location. Only saw a couple people and never heard any loud vehicles or people during the stay. Highly recommend this location. Will now be our new go to spot for our regular stays in Roanoke! Thank you!

This was our second time staying at Angela’s place. Her home is very spacious, well-maintained and clean. We loved the easy access to nearby conveniences and the quick drive to Blacksburg. Angela was very responsive in our communications. We’ll stay here again in the future.
