The Hideaway on Mitchelli Lane is my new favorite Airbnb! The location is beautiful and peaceful. I slept better than I do at home! The space is tastefully decorated, very clean, and had everything I needed. I also got to meet the hosts who are easy to talk with. They went the extra mile to make my visit a positive one. Great stay for a Notre Dame football weekend. The house is out of the fanfare about 35 minutes away from campus. Plenty of social space and space to relax in the home, in its back yard, or near the lake. Big kitchen, and all of the amenities you need for a weekend stay. Darick is a great host, and I recommend this to folks looking for the same use!

This is a very handsome late-Victorian house, with some exceptional historic flourishes remaining inside. The entry, stair hall, dining room, and living room all retain good-to-excellent historic integrity, and will please anyone who has an appreciation for architectural woodworking. It would be great to see the exterior of the home fully restored one day. We were comfortable here. Cassopolis is mostly quiet, although you can hear the train from time to time, and street noise (rarely present) can come in. The heating system worked well, as did the plumbing. Carolyn's personal tour of the house was warm and kind, and we knew we were in good hands should anything arise. The neighborhood has many historic Victorian structures in various states of repair. There is plenty to see, and the quaint, hilly setting has a lot to offer without feeling touristy. It's nice to see that the State of Michigan has provided some funding to enliven the downtown area - it seems to be working.
