The Straubinger Volksfest attracts, the Unesco World Heritage Regensburg, skiing or hiking in St. Englmar or on the Arber.

Authentic and romantic lodge originally built of timber and used for the first time back in 1850 as housing for as many as 10 persons. Situated between the sea and the forest and with the northern light as only light in the dark season this might be the perfect place to enjoy North of Norway. The perfect match for a couple, but will also function very well for up to four persons. It is renovated to a modern standard in 2018, with focus on maintaining the heart and soul of the old building.

Perfect for both business and leisure guests. Here, you’re close to both city and nature, with excellent public transport and the lake at your feet.

In Schweinrich on the motorboat-free Dranser See lies the romantic holiday home "Landlust" with an idyllic large garden, only 100 meters from the bathing area. There is a boat house with its own jetty. Canoe, kayaks and sailing dinghies (sailing skills required) can be rented. Small cozy cottage in the woods by a lake. 4 beds. 14 km from Kiruna C. 10 km to Ice hotel. Perfect to see midnight sun in summer and northern lights in winter. Peace and relaxation. Nice sauna can be rented for 600 sek - needs to be booked at least one day in advance. Takes 4-6 hours to heat. Own car or rental car is required. Or transport by taxi. No bus connection available. Nearest grocery store is in Kiruna C (15 km) or in Jukkasjärvi (10 km).

Villa Aurora guest house with sauna

A fresh and cosy guest house with a sauna, with a nice sea view, located in a bay in the archipelago of Maxmo ca ½ h drive from Vaasa. For 2 adults (not suitable for children, but small infants possible). It is very well equipped and located only 15 m from the shore line. Suitable for use all around the year (electrical floor heating and A/C). The hosts are availible most of the time, and speak English, Swedish and Finnish.
