Cowens Gap is a smaller lake, but has rental boats, fishing, a swimming beach, and 1 easy, 6 moderate & 5 hard trails to hike. Trails are on the All Trails app.

Located right beside Letterkenny Army Depot, the Chambersburg hospital and Roxbury camp are nearby. Gettysburg and Carlisle Fairgrounds are each about 30 miles away. History of the cottage: Built in 1998 as a gift shop selling Boyd's Bears, and other home décor, We were ranked one of the top Boyd's sellers in the country. Once we closed the shop, it has been renovated to a rental space. We want it to be a place people can come partake in our beautiful views, see wildlife & enjoy a quiet environment. The Cottage is located adjacent to our home but still give privacy to enjoy the location.

Built in 2021, this apartment is on the lower level of our custom built home. It also has a fully equipped gym. Pet friendly, No smoking, No parties.

About the cottage: This home is located on a farm raising black angus cattle. There is a large, well-stocked kitchen where you can cook delicious meals, when you're not visiting the local Amish and Mennonite cafes and bakeries. Take your cooking and dining outside on nice days to our lovely patio dining area and grill! There is also a large backyard with gorgeous sunset views.
