This 1000sq log cabin is two bedrooms. A queen, 2 twins and a queen pullout couch in the living room sleeps two. This private retreat is behind a small chicken farm with cats. Our cozy guest cottage has easy beachfront/kayak/canoe access, and is located very close (within walking distance at low tide) to the public boat launch for larger boats. Great location to explore Deer Isle, Acadia (approx 1hr), Castine (45m), and the Bangor (1hr) area. Brave children and adults even swim from the beach but comfortable swimming ponds/lakes are 10m in several directions. The hot-tub is open year-round! Additional guests can be considered prior to booking.

Nearby is Archies lobster pound, Hansen’s seaside takeout (both walkable) and by car Thurstons lobster pound. And Seafood ketch. There are many other options in the neighboring town of Southwest Harbor.

Manset is on the "quiet" side of the island and we love being here! Our apartment is situated in a larger building with another apartment upstairs and a commercial space—presently occupied by us. A neighborhood with boat building history and current activity. A short walk down to Manset (rocky) shore. Seawall picnic area is not far away via car/bicycle down the main road as are Wonderland and Ship Harbor trails.
