Family-friendly holiday rentals in Frisia

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

What a lovely place in an oasis of peace. We were with 4 friends in the beautiful stay of Aljanneke. An oasis of peace and nature and a beautiful house with all modern amenities and comfort. Aljanneke is a super host! Nice communication and full of good tips, someone who fully understands hospitality. We would definitely come back!

We more than enjoyed the stay, especially our son (2 years) was more than delighted with the farm and the play barn. The landlords were super nice and the accommodation very cozily furnished and totally clean. The garden is also an absolute oasis for relaxation. We traveled a lot by bike and can highly recommend the area. We will be happy to come back and recommend the place to friends with children.

Everything was great! The apartment was very very very clean and you have everything you need nearby! I would be happy to come back to Hamburg again! :)

Fabulous stay at Cottage Paulus What a great experience! The forest cottage "Paulus" is tastefully decorated and is located in a beautiful, quiet place in the middle of nature. Exactly what we needed to completely recharge. We were there with our two dogs, and they too had the time of their lives. The spacious, fully fenced garden was perfect – safe and large enough for endless snooping and scrambling around. Fareen, the hostess, is incredibly friendly and helpful. From the first contact, everything felt familiar and relaxed. She was quick to respond to questions and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended for anyone who loves peace, nature and an animal-friendly place with character. We will definitely come back!

The place was just fantastic. Quiet location close to Amsterdam. Top amenities. Sauna and hot tub included. Also a giant grill that worked great. Suitable for a relaxing weekend with family and friends. And a trip to Amsterdam is also in. The hosts were very friendly and always quick to respond and also flexible with arrival and departure times. There was everything you needed. Highly recommend.

The apartment right on the water is really a quiet oasis to relax. We had a very nice time and were delighted with the little touches for breakfast. Communication with Ina was very kind and straightforward. We would recommend the place for a relaxing, quiet vacation at any time.

We had a great time during our girlfriend weekend. A lovely cottage with nice amenities. Everything was thought of. We also enjoyed the outdoor space very much. Perfect for a weekend with friends or family. Hari is incredibly friendly. We will be happy to come back!

An ideal location for a short stay with dog(s). Clean and tidy, everything necessary was available, even linens. Alexandra was easy to reach and very helpful. Pleasant space, new bathroom. The veranda is a great place to start and end the day. I was quickly used to the noise of traffic, and inside you won't hear it. The dog enjoyed the space outside. Conveniently located for trips to "Harz Nature Park" with all attractions, and also to romantic towns such as Goslar and Quedlinburg. Hildesheim is also very worthwhile.

I spent some lovely days at Siennie's place with my dog. The check-in and check-out were uncomplicated, there is a parking space directly at the house. The place was clean and there was everything you need. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. The highlight was of course the beach within walking distance. Unfortunately, you only learn on site that dogs are not allowed to go to bed on the sofa or with them. It would have been nice to get this information before booking. Other than that, everything else was perfect, and I felt very comfortable at the place.

We stayed with two children during the Easter holidays for three nights in the farm of Lena and her family. Next to us were some other families with infants present, but it was still very private. Our children could always go to the playground and pond, they were allowed to feed the fish and looked at the animals interested in the supply of the animals. The welfare of the animals is paramount here. We loved the dining area behind the barn overlooking the field and the dyke in the evening sun. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed, it was just a little cold, so better to bring slippers. We slept superbly, opening the windows in the morning and hearing nothing but the wild geese was really nice. The girls were sad when we left, but I'm sure we'll come back.

Patries and Mike are phenomenal hosts and good-hearted people - both to their guests and their animals on the farm. The love for their farm can be felt immediately and the atmosphere is unique. Great tips and recommendations that they give for a wonderful stay. Both us and our two dogs felt incredibly welcome. We would come back anytime.

This is our third time staying at Tine’s cottage over the past nearly ten years. It feels like a home away from home. We love Tine and she treats everyone like family. In case you don’t know already, this cottage sits on a quiet street, with its own private parking, entrance, and privacy. It is a very short walk into the backside of Zaanse Schans by the Windmills. You can borrow one of Tine’s many bicycles or simply walk the flat peaceful lanes into the open air park and experience clogs making, cheesemaking, stroopwafels, historic homes and neighborhoods well preserved, shops and gifts, a museum, and the most beautiful intact and functioning windmills you’ll find anywhere in the area - plus much more. It’s only 7-8 minutes to the Zaanse Schans train station and a straight shot in 15 minutes on the train to Centraal Station. Also very easy to get to Keukenhof via train, car, bus, etc. Grocery stores and restaurants close by. Our favorite spot out of all we’ve stayed at in Holland!

We stayed for a couple of days while visiting Amsterdam and Leiden - it was fantastic for the train and a real quiet cosy little place Kitty was a lovely host, she sent the most comprehensive directions I’ve ever gotten to find the place from the station and was super speedy to respond. Thanks for having us 😊

so from to East Frisia, our first Airbnb experience was great and exactly what I was looking for had a quiet location, mostly accessible, comfortable beds, great opportunities for families with children and what I particularly noticed is a garden that is not East Frisian perfect so that dogs also had fun. I can only recommend the house the furnishings and the equipment is good.

We felt very comfortable in Anette's place, were warmly welcomed and everything was very cozy! The equipment of everything was great and if a little something was missing, Anette was immediately available and brought it over. The garden is a dream and especially for the children a paradise with the large sandbox and mud kitchen as well as the covered ping pong table. Only a few walks directly from the house were missing, but by car you were everywhere quite quickly. We can 100% recommend the vacation home!

We enjoyed our stay at Wendela's. We were warmly welcomed. The "Rosenhäuschen" was exactly what we had imagined. It was our home away from home. And we'll be back for sure.

Great apartment with pool and sauna and fireplace, we felt very comfortable and had a great Easter weekend. The pool should have liked to be a little warmer and cleaner, in the corners the dirt collected, the temperature was only 26° But all in all, it is a nice quiet successful relaxing oasis that we would definitely recommend!

We spent the turn of the year in Schönhagen with peace and convenience. The apartment is located not far from the beach and is equipped with everything you need. We used the sauna in the basement to ourselves. The place is a good starting point for numerous excursions, especially even in warmer weather by bike. Thanks to Jan for the nice welcome.
