Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Gold Country

We had a lovely holiday weekend in this spacious and well-furnished house. Our hosts were responsive and accommodating. We felt the house was set up beautifully and really had everything we needed for our large group. This place is a real gem and I highly recommend.

We have truly enjoyed staying at this lovely well stocked, comfortable house. We have stayed here before and always love this perfect house. Nhi is an awesome host!!! We will definitely return!

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The host was responsive and helpful. I felt good staying there especially since it was close to a lot of the things I wanted to do.

I always choose to stay at Emrehans when I need a place near San Jose. Very beautiful, clean home/yard, great location. Emrehan communicates well and has been very accommodating to me. Very good price for the stay. Would recommend.

Nico & Elizabeth saved my family’s Thanksgiving…literally!!! We had booked another place for our family in JULY. The morning of our first night’s stay, the other host cancelled with no explanation whatsoever. It literally took 10 hours to rebook another house close to our destination through Airbnb. Nico was so responsive & great to us, & their house was just perfect…super cozy but spacious, very clean & the location was wonderful!!! I cannot thank Nico enough for his quick responsiveness, generousity & for making what could have turned out to be a frustrating, terrible Thanksgiving holiday into a great family weekend & reunuion!! My brothers thank you as well!!!!

Overall, really great! Used for a family reunion with parents and 4 adult children and a spouse. Extremely clean. Simple instructions for easy entry & exit each time. It’s very rare to have a garage to use, yet alone one that was so spacious. That’s a great, much appreciated feature. The price is a fantastic value for the size & like-new condition of the home. Loved the huge dining room table & open floor plan of the kitchen, dining room and living room which together provide a great space for gathering together. I appreciated the new twin matttess and folding frame to add another bed. It was very comfortable & easy to put up & take down. Really nice kitchen/living room and overall just nice and bright and clean!

This place was exactly what we were looking for!We traveled out for the CIM Sacramento Marathon and brought my 90 year old grandparents with us. The house was accessible for my grandparents and big enough for each of us to have our own space! We had enough parking for both of our cars and it was not a far drive to downtown. Henry provided all necessary information prior to arrival and was responsive throughout the stay! We would definitely recommend this place or stay again for another Sacramento trip!!!

A small but efficient little apartment above garage. We stayed in winter so garden was resting but imagine it is quite pretty when in bloom. Quiet in great location and close to midtown. We didn't use kitchen but looks well appointed with everything you need.

Gingers place was amazing loved the butterfly theme. The colors it gave it a nice feel. Would definitely recommend her place. She also was able to allow me to check in an hour early. Thank you Ginger for sharing your place.

Carolyn and Ryan made our extended stay so comfortable. The space is large and well-appointed. The parking and entrance are nicely private and the neighborhood is wildly walkable. Downtown, parks, coffee shop, it was a wonderful place to base from. You feel right at home and being able to have our dog with us so easily was the cherry on top. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Ann is an amazing host. She was very communicative and provided awesome suggestions for food. She left very detailed instructions on how to check and how to check out. The place itself was cozy and awesome. So close to all the restaurants in town as well as the stores. I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic spot, would stay here again. David was friendly and flexible. The flat is cozy yet spacious, and in a safe neighborhood with easy street parking on the weekends. It was also within walking distance of fun stuff, like Bueno Cafe. Great value for the money!

The instructions for check in and finding the place were clear but coming after dark made it hard to find the path! Consider putting lights on the path and maybe putting the name of the person staying on the door to help them find it a little easier. Overall, wonderful home! Very peaceful area! Wish we could have stayed longer :)

Great place to stay for your Tahoe visit. Location is perfect for ski resorts, restaurants, and grocery stores. The property is very cosy and is stocked with everything you will need.

Great location within 5-10 minutes walk of the base area. Condo was clean and well equipped, with useful extras like a gear locker on the first floor so you don't have to haul skis/snowboards up and down the stairs. Beds were all very comfortable. It's worth pointing out that the bunkbeds can easily accomodate an average sized adult – my 5'10"/150lb friend was perfectly happy in the bottom bunk.

A perfect place to stay in a quiet, local community. There were several amenities inside the unit and community at large, including private lakeside access (breathtaking views). The place was very cozy, and the king bed is huge. The shower is also very big and brand new. Many options to stream on the TV. Dolores is a thoughtful and responsive host, eager to accommodate in every way. Thank you!!

Everything was immaculate, from the design and decor, cleanliness, functionality, organization of the home, and amenities. There was a place for everything and the hosts thought of every detail. The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances were all in great working order. We loved the proximity to Diamond Peak ski resort, Raley's for groceries, and restaurants. Thank you for hosting us, Bert and Ploy. We hope to be back.

Location was perfect for our trip. Easy shuttle to and from the resort each day. Communication with Dean was on point. I would for sure stay here again.

Great spot easy to find with lots of parking. If you are a family with a lot of ski and snowboard gear this is a great option because the parking lot is wide open and a few steps from the staircase leading to the condo. Most of the condos at Northstar have under ground parking and requires multiple trips and finding luggage carts. The condo has just enough space and kids can sled on the opposite hill above the parking lot. It is about a 5-10 minute walk to the main village where the restaurants and shops are, so if you don’t like walking far it’s a bit of a trek up and down. There is a shuttle but it doesn’t run often and won’t be running late if you go to dinner or back.

This condo was the perfect cozy stay for our little family! Cory was super proactive with giving all the information and tips we needed. The condo had all the little things we might need for our stay. The location was absolutely perfect! Being so close to the ski lift and hill made it perfect for being able to take breaks with my toddler who was learning to snowboard! Only thing to be aware of is the staircase. It can be tricky with little kids. There is a gate at the top which helps though. Overall wonderful place to stay!

Nice, clean condo, and the kitchen is well-equipped. Handy ski locker, and just a short walk to the closest ski run and also Northstar village. Great space for a trip to the resort!
