“This was a truly amazing stay. As we drove in we knew this was a truly amazing stay. We parked we could see the lake within feet of the cabin. At night we would just stop by the fire as a family and relax. In the morning we would do the same thing just open the door and enjoy the views and sounds. Everything was well above what we were expecting. This is such an amazing experience that we made it a spot we would like to go back to every few years. I highly recommend this stay to anyone who wants to relax, get away, or just unwind.”
This 1-2 person cabin is cozy, simple, and quiet, which makes it a perfect place to getaway and enjoy one of Maine's most incredible lakes! It can hold more guests if you provide your own air mattress and/or tent. Use of kayaks, paddle boards, fire pit, gas grill, and dock slip for your own boat included.
“We loved staying at the cosy cabin, and it was absolutely that. We stayed late September into early October, and it was chilly at night, but warmed up in the mornings once we turned the small heater on. It's amazing how quiet the place was - even in spite of the building work happening behind it. We made use of the kayaks and were surprised by the fact we had the lake to ourselves, and it that the water had retained some of the summer warmth in the shallower parts! We made use of the convection hob, microwave and BBQ and all worked perfectly. There was firewood if we'd wanted to have a bonfire, but the beautiful Maine thunder storm took hold of the night, so we didn't end up using it. The cabin is a wonderful getaway for two people, we felt so lucky to be staying there!”

“This was the perfect spot for a long weekend getaway! We were able to enjoy a socially distanced mini vacation while still having a great deal of fun. The cottage is right on the lake and a private dock provides easy access. There was also a canoe for us to use. The main bedroom overlooks the water and its large windows made us feel like we were right on the lake. There were plenty of options when it came to cooking. The kitchen appliances are all pristine and the grill out back was great for summer evenings. We appreciated some of the things Johanna did for us too, like leaving out an exercise pen when we mentioned bringing our dog and having the boating equipment ready since we expressed interest in that. The location of the cottage was excellent as well. Mr. Sea's Lobster Pound was less than 5 minutes down the road, so we were able to have a lobsters one night. There are also convenience stores, gas stations, and a Hannaford nearby should you need supplies. The Cottage is close enough to the highway should you wish to venture out further. We recommend Baxter's Brewery and their outdoor patio!”
