The teacher's house with adjacent former dwarf school is located with its large garden on the outskirts of the small village of Strüth im Taunus. A few steps in front of the front door, hiking trails lead into nature. The premonstratenser monastery is also worth a visit. In the village itself there is a bakery , a hairdresser and a restaurant. In addition, a doctor and a pharmacy. All other shopping facilities (Lidl, Aldi, Rewe, DM, organic shop, etc.) are located (about 10 minutes by car) in Nastätten.

Hohenstein is not a transit point and is very quiet at an altitude of about 360 m. The nearest EK stores are 3.5 km away. Hohenstein Castle (over 800 years old, 150 meters away) offers six weeks of castle festivals in summer and is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Three beautiful golf courses are about 25 minutes away. The hiking trails "Rheinsteig," "Burgensteig," "Wispertal" and the "Rheingau-Riesling-Route" can be reached quickly. Guests with bicycles get their money's worth. E-bikes would be great.

Hohenstein-Born is located in the middle of the Rhine-Taunus Nature Park. The Limes, the Rheingau and the Aar-Höhenweg are easily accessible. The nearest shopping facility is 4 km away, Wiesbaden is 15 km away.

Die offene Atelierwohnung im Torhaus ist Teil einer ausgebauten Hofreite aus dem 17. Jahrhundert. Alte Hölzer und freigelegtes Fachwerk sind von Rosenstöcken und einem wunderschönen Garten umgeben. Beim Einrichten haben wir großen Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit gelegt. Bestehendes wurde auf- und umgearbeitet. Ein Großteil der Leuchten, Textilien sowie die Bilder stammen aus unserem Atelier. Dadurch bekommt die offene Architektur ihren besonderen Stil sowie den freundlichen und eigenen Charakter.

Priceless but nevertheless included: fantastic views over a horse paddock and beyond the Rhine. From here you can start wonderful hikes. In a short time, you're at Johannisberg Castle, Rüdesheim with Drosselgasse, abbey and romantic castles.
