Holiday rentals in Hickory

We loved this place! Amazing views, beautiful house, loved having a fire pit outside and a fireplace inside, and just a few minutes from Blowing Rock. We did some nice hikes and hit the slopes a day for snow skiing. Thank you!

Castle in the Clouds says it all. We had multiple times where we were surrounded by clouds while sitting on the balcony. On ckear days the view is amazinga. Comfortable living room, table for 6, blackout curtains in the bedrooms, lots of towels, well-stocked kitchen. The double bed bunk is not connected so movement in one bed does not affect the other. Friendly service at check-out, shuttle, and security. This location is close to so many hikes, waterfalls, and tourist attractions.

Trey’s place hit all the marks for what I needed - clean, cozy, comfy, and affordable. Bonus points for an amazing loose leaf tea selection, gorgeous mountain views at sunrise and sunset, and close to everything I wanted to do in the area. (Grandfather Mtn, Linville Falls, Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster were on my list - did them all in a day.) All instructions were clear and easy, and I had everything I needed for an enjoyable weekend away in the NC mountains. Go stay here and support western NC!! I hope to come back again soon :)

Great place to stay. Very clean with lots of games and things to do inside when not enjoying local attractions.

This cabin in Marion, NC, was a wonderful place to stay. The cabin itself is beautifully designed and very well-maintained. It was incredibly clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances and utensils, making it easy to prepare meals. The living space was cozy, and the furnishings were both stylish and practical, offering a perfect balance of comfort and elegance. The views were stunning, and the location provided a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend for a tranquil getaway!

The instructions given by the host were clear and helpful. The staff at sugar mountain were also super friendly and helpful. I was sooooo glad we got to park at the building and didn’t have to mess with catching a shuttle and all :) so as the helpful notes the hosts sent says, it’s worth asking if you can park behind the building. The place was just as described. Really appreciated the standing fan that was provided. I also LOVED that they provided pool towels, most places don’t do that and that was such a blessing with little ones who love the pool. We also thought the bed was comfy. We hope to come back!

Rhonda was so kind and accommodating of my family. The things in the home were convenient and thoughtful, from the plates/cups, seasoning, and filtered water pitcher already filled up, to the well stocked bathroom with ample linens, to the extra pillows and blankets! The cottage had so much charm to it and the decor was thoughtful and reflective of the original aspects of the home, yet still updated with all the modern conveniences. Our family is local to the area and had to get work done to our home, so the location is incredibly convenient to my job and my children’s school. It was so nice to be able to get off work, arrive here and take a nice hot shower and have a cup of complimentary coffee. We totally recommend Rhonda’s beautiful home if you ever need or want to stay in Forest City. 10/10!

Great place on the second floor with a good view from the deck. Well stocked with all the little things you might need in the kitchen, bathroom full of shampoo and body wash supplies. and all very clean. 3 big bedrooms- very comfortable! TVs in all the rooms. Nice small pool a few steps away. And a really nice restaurant on the water also a few steps away! Good stay!

We will definitely be back. It was the perfect place for our small family. We’re looking forward to coming back in warmer months to utilize the other amenities.
