“Bob and Karen's place was uniquely decorated with art, clean (by COVID-19 standards), and perfectly located off of Hawthorne - walking distance from food carts, breweries, pubs, and other great eats. My brother and I stayed here in Portland after a day of hiking in Mt. Hood and were pleasantly surprised by the place. After booking their place, we had access to a virtual guidebook for Portland. Bob and Karen had their place decorated with their own art and it was also equipped with other fun activities, like a ping pong table, record player + awesome collection of vinyls, and two bicycles + helmets. We made sure to take advantage of all of these things! The neighborhood itself was historical and the houses were beautiful. They live upstairs, so we also were able to converse, although through a screen door and with masks on to keep them safe. Overall, I would definitely come back to visit in the future - hopefully for a longer time to explore the area and enjoy the food/breweries!”
Our cozy-comfy 4 season yurt is nestled under majestic trees on a beautifully landscaped 1/3 acre. Located in a quiet, safe SW Portland neighborhood with a park, hike/bike trail a block away. We are 6 miles from downtown, with beaches, gorge and Mt. Hood accessible for day outings. 2017 brought major upgrades including a full kitchen, a natural gas fireplace and complete electrical service. The guests full bathroom is located in the home's utility room a short lighted pathway walk from the yurt.
“Given the description and reviews, I had high expectations of this listing. And, I am not someone who clicks 'excellent' routinely. Truly this is a special spot, tending by lovely people. Quick to the city, quick to Cooper Mountain park, so so easy to I-5... but really: once we were there, we didn't want to leave. It's a magical spot!”
The space is a well appointed, comfortable studio apartment. It is an ADU at the back of the main house. All the amenities that one would desire are provided (wifi, internet, cable TV, washer & dryer, fridge, dishwasher, stove, microwave, AC, cooking utensils, etc., etc). It is also very modern and clean, with a private entrance and keyless entry. Close to many restaurants, bars and coffee shops.
“Cara's place exceeded our expectations. It was extremely clean, stylish, and cozy. The apartment had everything we needed for a place to stay after a long week of camping in the pacific northwest. Cara was prompt with responses and was a wonderful host. Would definitely stay again while in Portland!”
