Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Hobart City Council

We had a lovely time at Hampden Neuve, it’s a thoughtfully designed space, and although the bedrooms are not huge the place feels spacious everywhere else. It’s such a convenient location, we took Toms advice and didn’t hire a car while we were staying. Parking would be a hassle and we just didn’t need it. Loved to art, and style.

We absolutely loved our stay at Braithwaite - a thoughtfully designed restreat that seamlessly marries heritage charm with modern luxury. The king bed in the moody, ambient bedroom offered an incredibly comfortable sleep, and the outdoor bath under a canopy of fairy lights in the private courtyard was pure magic. The space was impecably clean, the kitchen was impressively well appointed, and the heated floors in the bathroom/laundry were a welcome touch. We loved the nods to the building’s history, with original bakery items tastefully displayed throughout. Alix and John's communication was outstanding—prompt, warm and informative, with clear instructions and thoughtful local recommendations that we really appreciated. The location is ideal: central to everything, yet perfectly quiet and serene at night. This is a meticulously executed stay that provides every comfort you could want. Beautiful, spacious and warm home. great location, with nice cafes & restaurants in the area. We loved the fireplace in the living area and the beautiful mountain views. I would reccomend parking your car on the street behind the property.

Angela and Clive’s place was absolutely beautiful—spacious, peaceful, and the perfect relaxing getaway. It’s easily the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. The property has a rich sense of history, and we felt lucky to experience it firsthand. One of the true highlights was the garden—it was stunning, and we enjoyed picking and eating fresh apples right from the trees. It really added a magical touch to our stay. Angela and Clive were wonderful hosts: warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind people. They took the time to show us around their amazing garden, which made us feel even more at home. If you’re looking for a nature-filled retreat with plenty of space—especially when traveling with family—this is the place. We can’t recommend it enough.

We had a great stay in Hobart. The Cottage was well equipped for what we needed and their check out rules were a game changer for us - we had 3 kids with us and an early flight on a Sunday morning. It makes all the difference when you don't have to worry about rubbish and dishwashers before you leave. Thank you Kate and Keiren for making us feel so at home. Lots of nice touches - lovely linen and pillows, great staples in the pantry and milk for a cuppa when you arrive. Easy walk to great spaces nearby. Loved it. Will be back.

One part historic, one part modern, we loved our stay at this special place in Hobart. The kitchen is sunny and the house has a gas fireplace for the chilly nights. The wharf is just a 20 minute walk from here. If you rent a car and take the ferry, Maria Island is just over an hour’s drive away and makes for a fun day trip.

Julie's house is so gorgeous, and the view is just amazing! The place is tidy and easy to get to, in a quiet area but just a short drive to Hobart's CBD area. The sun shines from the big glass windows into the living area and kitchen so nicely, my whole family spent hours just taking in the view!

A wonderful stay at Seaview. Peaceful location, amazing views of Hobart and a gorgeous home~ considered inclusions, quality amenities and beautifully styled. Georgina was a responsive and considerate host. Highly recommend this very special place!

My friends and I absolutely loved our stay at Sven & Tracy’s Grappa Court Penthouse! The apartment is exceptionally spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The location is perfect for those wanting to explore North Hobart and surrounds. Sven and Tracy have been lovely hosts, so easy to deal with and all communication has been prompt and handled professionally. We would recommend this apartment to anyone, and would love to stay again sometime in the future!

We are 3 ladies who stayed at Sussex for 2 nights prior to doing the Three Capes Walk. The place was excellent for us, as we had 3 separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.. We had a lovely sitting area to sit and chat. Superb location Walking distance to the Salamanca and Ferry areas. The area felt safe. The bedrooms were quiet to sleep at night. Perfect for us. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends.

The space is just beautiful, tranquil and felt like I was in special space. Great bedding. I arrived after dark and it was a big tricky parking, getting in etc but got it all figured out. Fantastic location.

We had an amazing stay at Sally's place. It was clean and tidy when we arrived. All the information was provided prior to our arrival making it easy for check in and check out as well. The apartment itself was located on a quiet street. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Definitely worth a stay when you're down in Hobart.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old School House. We traveled with a 5 month old who was very well catered for. The accomodation is charming, very comfortable and clean. Communication with the hosts was very responsive and clear, going above and beyond to ensure we had enjoyable stay. The accommodation is a 15 min walk down to Salamanca Place and Fishermans wharf providing easy access to shops and restaurants. Sandy Bay shops are about a 7 min walk. We will definitely stay again.

Everything was taken care of. Loved it. The location, near Cornelian Bay was great. we can recommend The Boatshed as a place to eat.

Miro and Edina were absolutely wonderful hosts; warm, friendly and very thoughtful. They were also very responsive with any communication in the lead up to our stay. The place was clean and very well appointed and the location was central to many of Hobart’s key attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone! Lovely place, great location

We felt right at home when we stepped in the doors. The place is bright and spacious in the living room and kitchen areas. Very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. There were plenty of places to sit for 6 of us and a lovely deck and outdoor seating also available. Plenty of hot water and the bedding are clean and comfy. Overall a great home to comeback to after a day of travelling around Hobart. The host is very friendly and reaches out very early to offer recommendations and assistance. Very close to Cascade Brewery and Mount Wellington. Highly recommended !

This is a fabulous period home with some gorgeous updates to kitchen/dining family rooms and upstairs primary bedroom and en-suite. The older parts of the house are very well maintained as well. Lots of home comforts here with ample kitchen wares to cook, a great coffee machine, brand new kitchen range, a full laundry room, and loads of fun games to play both indoor as well as on the beautiful river-front lawn. Peta-Jane answered all our questions within a few minutes and was delightful to work with. I would not hesitate in any way to recommend this beautiful home and the lovely owner :)

Wonderful stay, the property and grounds are amazing!! Hosts were super responsive and so helpful with my questions. They even helped connect us to some local services (ie babysitter and taxi). The industrial / farmhouse design was lovely. We were two couples with two small bubs. The only thing I’d call out for anyone travelling with children is the two ensuites open out to the rooms so hard to use the bathroom once your little one goes to sleep. Also need to bring blockout blinds as the en-suite windows don’t have blinds.

We loved it. It felt like arriving at home. The garden is magnificient, the plants inside are stunning. The kitchen is extremely well equipped to cook. The fire place is gorgeous. We have a great time.

very nice view, great house, quite place, great location if you drive the master bedroom is amazing with the bath and the view. only the pool is not clean and you do not want to jump in.

Wow, we were literally speechless when we arrived. In real life even more spectacular and breathtaking, we were all in awe. It seems that so much care for detail and love when into designing this home, everything was so well thought out. It has all the amenities you need and more. We were planning on eating out at least one time but loved cooking and sitting by the fire so much that we fortunately decided to stay in instead. And taking a bath in this is house is probably the most memorable of all baths i have ever taken, you cant beat those views! Karen and Andrew were lovely hosts and very responsive and helpful. And to top everything off their wine is so good! This stay deverses a 10/10. Thanks Karen and Andrew for sharing this slice of heaven.
