The second time we were there and are super satisfied again. The parking garage is easily accessible on foot and the key for the accommodation can be taken out of the key box on the way. The kitchen had everything to cook for 4 people. Will come again any time!

We had a lovely weekend. Very warm welcome and the cottage and location was exactly what we needed. Wonderfully quiet, everything present and comfortable. This weekend was mainly for us as a base for Thialf, but we would like to come back to enjoy even more of the cottages and the area.

We had a very nice stay at the apartment on De Vaart. The center of Assen is within walking distance and there are a lot of fun things to do. The apartment itself has all the comforts and we slept wonderfully. Certainly subject to repetition.

Vanessa was the perfect host. Extremely professional, helpful and friendly. The apartment is quietly located in a side street of the pedestrian zone. The train station was easy to walk to. In the apartment was everything you need. Optimal.

Robert is a very kind host. The accommodation looks cozy, is clean and with a lovely large garden on the lake. Breakfast was various good! Glad we could leave the trailer for the surfboard until after the competitions in the garden. In short, a very nice place to spend time.

Lovely cottage in a farm house. The bed is extremely comfortable, pictures don't do the place justice, the interior is very cozy and charming. Host is very kind and the place feels home. Shops are walking distance, and the house is located opposite the canal, sunsets are beautiful. There is a bus 5 minutes walk from the house. Nice area to relax and unwind - away from the hustle and bustle of cities. The neighbourhood is peaceful and the villagers are friendly.

Our stay with Annemarie was nothing short of amazing. We had the best time at this converted barn . Big enough for 2 people on dead end road with views of the landscape and her horses. Annemarie is a warm and very kind host and she makes sure everything is to your satisfaction. We will often think back about our stay with her and certainly will return. Grietus & Kaylynne

We had a wonderful stay at this fantastic house! It is really perfectly appointed – everything you need is there, and it is super clean and spacious. The house is a real retreat to relax with lots of great extras such as the boat, whirlpool and perfectly equipped kitchen. The location is just ideal and our children felt very comfortable there – they even fell asleep quickly, which speaks for the comfort. Overall an absolute dream that we would book again at any time. Highly recommended!

An absolute recommendation, the house of the two. The accommodation is unique, a great environment, with East Frisian charm. We got to know Karin and we were impressed from the start by her open, warm and likeable nature. The hosts were simply "excellent" in every respect, I can't express it any better. In addition, I personally "fell in love" with her dog 🥰 We will definitely be back! Thanks for everything to all of you! 🫶🏼

Great long weekend. The house is very well located for walks, bike tours and a visit to Groningen. The house is very confortabel. The kitchen has everything you need. In the afternoon we could have a drink in the little garden at the back.

The apartment was superbly furnished. We felt very comfortable right away. Very nice restored furniture combined with modern parts. The bathroom is also very modern and practically furnished, it couldn't be better. The flexible departure times were also very good, so we could still visit the art museum in Emden in the morning. We were allowed to spend an unforgettable week at the "Old Painters House". Already upon arrival, it becomes clear: the location is an absolute dream. Quiet location, right on the water and off the small country road, great for unwinding. The decor is not only tasteful and cozy, but also designed with a lot of love for detail. Especially the large bedroom with its wide view over the surrounding meadows appealed to us. A real highlight was the observation of thousands of nuns geese – right from the bed! Nature up close without leaving the house. A short walk leads over a small dock to Sieltor, from where you can enjoy a great view of Ems and Dollart. The next rolls are a bit away, but of the best quality. Conclusion: A wonderful holiday home with a very special atmosphere, in the middle of a quiet, inspiring environment. A week full of peace, nature and well-being – we will be happy to come back!

Superb place in a very central, yet quiet zone. The communication with the host was excellent, a very thoughtful and nice person. I rented this for my relatives who were visiting, and they had a wonderful time there. The place is very spacious, and the location is perfect, being in the heart of Groningen but in a part where you can also enjoy your sleep without being interrupted by the party people. Would most certainly recommend!

We liked the apartment very much, it is spacious, bright and stylishly decorated. Dennis as a host was responsible, caring and kind. We heartily recommend it!

Nice spacious apartment, top location, good communication

You couldn’t ask for a better location to enjoy Emden’s museums, farmers market, walking trails and restaurants as well as convenience for driving out to Norden, Greetziel, etc. Free city parking a block away was easy. All amenities in this rental were in excellent condition-thank you! We hope to return on our next trip.

Julian is a responsive host. His apartment offers a quiet, natural light-filled home with a very comfortable bed in a modern well-appointed space. It was very clean upon arrival and the washer/dryer was great to have since we had been traveling already 10 days. Julian was very agreeable in getting the key to our daughter who lives in the town since we were arriving very late. What we wish we had known/understood: the apartment is up three flights of a tight spiral staircase; while not cluttered at all it’s clear that it’s the owners living space (e.g. no ability to use closet because personal items were there) and food items were in the fridge and cabinets. Again, not cluttered, but it just surprised us. The listing notes that there’s a private office area (& shows photos) however that was marked private with a closed door and full of the owner’s items. The apartment was very convenient to our daughter’s apt and Julian was very flexible; we would love to stay again!

The long weekend in the apartment overlooking the lake was beautiful. The apartment is freshly renovated and we were welcomed with drinks and some treats in the fridge. We were even allowed to borrow the canoe to ride it across the lake. Joke and her husband Martin help wherever they can. Thanks again for the wonderful stay!
