Caretaker's Cottage - 4 Bedrooms Pet Friendly On The River

The stone Caretaker's Cottage on River Mountain Farm is a private 4-bedroom, 1-bathroom house that sleeps up to 7 and is pet friendly. It is perfect for a family getaway or friends’ trip. The cottage has two shotgun-style suites upstairs (1 king bed + 1 twin day bed and 1 queen bed + 2 twin beds) and also has a foldout queen sofa bed downstairs. The Cottage has central heat for the winter and two window AC units in the large bedrooms that provide cool sleeping temperatures in the summer. The bathroom features a claw foot tub with shower fixtures. You can relax in the hammock on the 2nd story porch or hang out in one of the two living/gaming areas. The living room on the first floor is stocked with games and you'll find a selection of DVDs as well as an Amazon Fire TV upstairs. The cottage features indoor and outdoor dining areas with an outdoor fire pit, and includes a kitchen stocked with appliances including three induction burners, a toaster/convection oven, a full refrigerator, a blender, a crock pot/slow cooker, and an outdoor gas grill. High-speed wireless internet is available throughout the house and is suitable for streaming movies or making video calls. On site, you'll have access to 137 acres of hiking and nearly a mile and a quarter of river frontage for fishing or kayaking. You can borrow one of our four kayaks, two paddle boards, or two river tubes or bring your own and launch from our new floating dock. We provide most of the gear you will need including adult life jackets, paddles, and waterproof bags. The owners, Adrienne and Drew, live on the property and are available to assist with anything you might need before or during your stay. The Caretaker's Cottage always includes free coffee and free firewood (sustainably harvested from the property) for the fire pit. A new 48-panel solar array attached to the original barn generates 20,000 kWh and covers all of our energy consumption. Crestview Cottage

A peaceful stay with scenic views. This house is located just off I-70 & I-76. 5 minutes from the abandoned PA Turnpike Tunnels, 10-15 minutes from the Juniata River, 5 minutes from the Buchanan State Forest. This home has 3 bedrooms with 3 beds, 1 full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, living room, washer & dryer. Has heat and AC. A deck with eating area and a front porch where you can enjoy your coffee in the comfort of a rocking chair & listen to the birds, or make a campfire in the backyard.

The Kayaker

Peacefully placed alongside the Raystown Branch Juniata River. Our cabins offer a private getaway with all the amenities you're going to need; 3 bedrooms, full kitchens, and laundry just to name a few. While you stay, be sure to check out the ample public game lands, Rails to Trails (1 mile away), and the Raystown Weaver Falls boat ramp (10 min. away). Self check for convenience Tiny cabin with all you need squeezed into it for pleasant stay. It is located on a secluded property not far (5 miles) from major interstates. It is a small guest house across the lawn from our house where my wife and I live. It has window AC and wifi available. Free continental breakfast foods provided. (There is no kitchen) Cleaned to perfection ! We do spray for bugs but it is not unusual to see some spiders and bugs since the cabin is right against the woods.
