16th Century Medieval Towerhouse

JonathanRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Staying in the castle was an incredible experience for our two families. Our kids (8-14) enjoyed exploring and playing throughout the castle and around the outside. There is a spectacular view of the countryside from the top of the castle. Mhairi helped put us in touch with a local chef who catered a medieval style meal in the dining room. Mhairi was responsive whenever questions came up and she stopped by to help sort out an issue with a radiator. This was one of the highlights of our visit to Ireland and we highly recommend Mhairi's castle!

Restored 200 Year Old Church

CherylRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Chris' hospitality was spot on. He represented the flavor of Ireland in how helpful he was in guiding us on our way and providing input on where to go and what to see. We didn't have much of a plan and he provided us with memorable places for us to visitL Kylemore Abbey was amazing, thanks Chris! And the cakes and coffee at Sullivans!. Chris was sincere and personable and we got to interact with his two lovely dogs. The breakfast was first rate and so yummy! He also gave us an afternoon snack and coffee or tea. Chris wrote the book on how to be an Airbnb host and could train others. Thanks again, we will never forget our time at Bookeen Hall!

We had to ask for an early check in and the host was extremely accommodating. I never felt like I was inconveniencing her which I greatly appreciate.

Cregg Castle

DamarysRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Alan described it just well. Gregg was exactly what I thought it would be. We chose this stay because of the charm that we knew it would offer. Thank you again Alan and I wish you the best in your next venture. Hopefully we are able to return when everything has transitioned. Will be amazing to see it.

Historical Fanningstown Castle Adare in Ireland

ChrisRating, 5 stars6 days ago
I gave Fanningstown Castle 5 stars because it wouldn’t let me leave more. This place is beyond spectacular and Mary is hands down the best host around. She is as generous and thoughtful a host as you’ll ever find. The fridge was stocked so we could make breakfast, beautiful fresh flowers in several rooms, and Mary’s as attentive as any host we’ve ever had. Our entire party loved our stay and were sad to leave. There were 8 in our party and we had plenty of room. And who doesn’t love staying in a castle? It’s truly unique and a stunning property. I’d actually call it 2 3/4 baths as the main floor bathroom has a shower as well. If you have a large group this place is a no brainer vs getting several hotel rooms. We simply had the best time and can’t thank Mary enough for being so kind and attentive. Trust me when I say this is the place you want to stay if you’re anywhere close.

Tybroughney Castle: The Queen’s Suite

CarlyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Don’t hesitate to book your stay here - and for at least 2+ nights, you won’t be disappointed! Where to begin on the highlights? - 500+ year old castle with modern comforts and amenities - lovely hosts who put warm touches on so many points of the stay - the animals! The sweet dogs, the chickens, the cows, the newborn calves, so cool! - the guestbook with all the history of the castle and loads of recommendations for local activities, sites, restaurants, etc. - grocery stores nearby to grab snacks, wine, or even food to prepare in the shared kitchen! - fabulous breakfast (and family game night potential) in the banquet room, makes you feel like royalty from centuries ago - the rugby pitch just down the road where our kids had a blast running around and watching the local team Could go on and on, but can’t recommend enough!

Castle Thornhill Suite. Wilton Castle, Ireland.

BrandonRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Did 2 nights here for a castle stay weekend for 1 year anniversary. Visited Kilkenny, Kinsale, Cork. I recommend starting in Kinsale and working your way back as the Airbnb is a bit far from the western towns. That being said it was helpful to be closer to Dublin for return. Wonderful stay with friends and people. A little remote if you are hoping to hop to a town and back to Airbnb that would be difficult here. Thank you for having us!

Glenville Park, One Bedroom 2

Diana & EnyaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Our second visit to Glenville was also something special: a different time of year and other wonderful impressions in the park, which we continued to explore. And Dare was a pleasant conversationalist and substitute host. We felt very comfortable and discovered new things. The journey through time in Glenville was a special highlight on our trip through beautiful Ireland. And Silvia: Maybe we'll get to know you sometime.

Smithstown Castle: an authentic 15th-C. stronghold

TaylorRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This is the most unique Airbnb I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. I don't think my words will do it justice, and the photos only give you a glimpse into how cool this property is. You need to book it and experience it for yourself. 11/10

Claregalway Castle - Abbey Room (1st Floor)

TrinityRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Wonderful experience! Gerry was so kind and a wealth of knowledge about The Claregalway castles history and restoration, making the tour of the castle that much more memorable. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was amazing, it was very quiet and peaceful and breakfast in the morning was a nice touch. The old Abbey across the road was so neat to explore and so beautiful to photograph. We would absolutely stay here again and can't wait to return. Thank you Gerry for being such a wonderful host.

Enchanted Glenbeg Castle on a secluded Estate

ElizabethRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had a family reunion and the kids had a huge yard to play in and play they did till almost midnight due to the long northern days. The adults enjoyed the many rooms and especially the kitchen (warming room) with old fashioned oven and fireplace. The entire family reveled in the party barn with music & huge fireplace.

Claregalway Castle - River Room (1st Floor)

KelseyRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We loved our stay at the castle during our honeymoon. Everyone was kind, the rooms wonderful, recommendations nearby top notch and even a sweet bottle of complimentary red wine. There were places walking distance for food, drink, coffee and we were 25-30 minute uber from downtown Galway. We’d absolutely recommend!

Claregalway Castle - Salmon Pool Room (1st Floor)

AbigailRating, 5 stars2 months ago
My partner and I traveled across Ireland for our honeymoon and our stay at Claregalway Castle was by far and away the best accommodations we had. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay feel like we were in a 5 star hotel and were extremely accommodating. The grounds were immaculate and the castle on the premises was one of the coolest things we saw for the duration of our trip. Every amenity and last detail was considered and the beds were extremely comfortable. We cannot recommend Claregalway Castle enough!
