Monthly Rentals in Kabini River

Amazing place with very warm and welcoming hosts and out of this world food. To wake up slightly early in the morning, sitting outside amidst nature and enjoying the various different birds was the highlight of the 5 days that i spent over there. I was there with my two year old son , the hosts Mr Sabu, Bebetto and Aunty were ever so helpful with all his requirements. They helped with preparing his food and washing his dishes, which was a huge relief indeed. Do try Aunty’s Malabar Biriyani if you’re there! It’s the absolute best ! I look forward to coming back to this property soon again.

Really great place to relax and unwind. Host and the local care takers are really helpful. Its private at the same time accessible, as you can drive to mysore with in 40mins. Highlight of our trip was spending time near the banks of cauvery during sunset and sunrise which was nothing like what we have experienced before. If you happen to visit during dry season like when we did you can get into the river and spend some quality time during early mornings and late evenings. There are so many different birds that will keep you company both in the homestay as well as in the village and near the river. And if you have pets(dogs) they will have the best of the time more than you do :). It was a first time natural water swimming experience for our dog and she absolutely loved it. And if you really want to get adventurous there was a fishing guide who took me deep into the river to catch some mahseer.

Cottage was very aesthetic & photogenic. The view of private coffee estate surrounding the cottage made it even more beautiful. If you are coffee & nature lover - this place is perfect! Basheer & Babu was very helpful. They also provided homely food which was very tasty. Worth the visit!

We stayed here for 5 nights and had a fantastic time. The house is in an amazing location with wonderful hosts who looked after us well. There are views of Kabini river and fields all around. There is a kitchen but we had meals provided which was some of the best food we had in India. The village is a very friendly place and there is a nice walk down towards the backwaters. As birders we also loved the nature and saw a lot of birds. Karthik was brilliant with all the communication and also arranged Nargahole and Kabini safaris for us at very short notice! Can highly recommend.
