Guest house holiday rentals in Kalutara

We have chosen this property because it is close to the beach and cheap. We wanted it quiet, and except for the train line that runs right in front of the house, and the few occasional trains it is wonderful here. Simple and straightforward, without frills, honest, and not overflowing with tourists. Tourist hotels are far enough away, and the beach is practically empty. If you like it quiet and don't need animation, this is the place to be! Thanks to the hosts!

The hotel is located on a peaceful beach, the staff is very friendly and attentive. Bunch of sea food restaurants in the area, not that many offering typical Sri Lankan food though. The room was spacious and clean. We had our own terrace although not very private (close to the dining area). It was nice that we could keep our room until we go to the airport! The hotel has a restaurant for the guests, we had a very nice mango smoothie there. The train rails are just in front of the hotel, it didn’t bother us, but worth mentioning that the train is passing several times per day, also very early in the morning.

I had a great stay in one of the Garden View rooms here. Sakun was very helpful and responded really quickly when I asked about checking in early and he was very happy to accommodate me. The building is just opposite a lovely family restaurant, which I ate in every night, and is also right on the beach with sun beds that are free for use. I would come back and stay here again if I was ever in Bentota!
