I had a beautiful stay at the Joglo in Candidasa. Wayan was a fantastic host—kind, responsive, and unobtrusive. The Joglo is simply stunning, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Falling asleep to jungle sounds was pure magic. Candidasa feels like old Bali: peaceful, authentic, and safe enough to explore by scooter. Oketo Cafe was a standout for breakfast. I’d avoid breakfast at Nirwana Resort—it was really disappointing. One bit of constructive feedback: there’s no detailed guest guide. Info like rubbish disposal, how to access extra towels, recommended mosquito repellents, laundry services, and food delivery options (there was only a menu for one place) would’ve been helpful and saved bothering Wayan with small questions. A guide would also reassure first-timers if the power goes out (as it briefly did for us). That said, it was a wonderful stay and I’d love to return. Highly recommend for a peaceful and authentic escape.

Endroit insolite, décoration soignée, construction magnifique. Lit super confortable, piscine/spa chauffée au top pour terminer la soirée. Accessible facilement vers Sidemen. Le petit déjeuner de base est très bon mais un peu léger. Cependant, possibilité de rajouter un plat supplémentaire. Il manque aussi quelques rangements, notamment dans les chambres et salle de bain (porte serviette). Restaurant à proximité mais n’est pas d’un très grand rapport qualité prix et nous avons eu plus d’une heure d’attente pour une commande avec livraison. Mais nous recommandons à 100% pour une évasion garantie !

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Cabana and Amed in general. Location of the Villa is great as you can walk to a few restaurants within minutes or get to the main street with supermarket and restaurants in around 10-15 minutes by car/bike. The locals are so friendly. Gede was really helpful with arranging a bike for us during our stay, he also arranged a driver for a day tour to Lahangan Sweet for sunrise and tirta gangga temple and a 3 hour snorkelling trip. He was always responsive to our requests (when we asked late notice for a taxi or for an iron) and he checked in regularly to see how we were or if we needed anything. The villa is absolutely stunning with the beaches just around the corner, we travelled by bike to Lipah beach around in 20 minutes. The villa booklet of recommendations and important telephone numbers was really useful, we ate out at several of the restaurants that were recommended and were not disappointed. Spacious villa with a pool. The pool is clean. Each bedroom has en-suite outdoor bathroom. The beds are comfortable and the ACs works well. The living room/kitchen has a portable fan, a small sofa and a dining table. It is not the most ‘cosy’ and well laid-out living room I have been, but it may just work as a place to get family/group to sit down to have a meal together. Going in and out of the villa can be challenging if you bring your own car and you’re not used to drive on a small lane in Bali. Using scooters to go around Melasti/Amed will be much easier. Good Stuff cafe nearby has excellent fresh and delicious food/coffee.

We have been living in Denpasar for one year, but we are originally from the U.S. where we lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains, had a garden, and spent our evenings by the campfire. We were looking for a place to get away for our son’s 16th birthday and hoped for somewhere away from traffic and surrounded by trees. We could not have dreamed that we would find a place that would ease our homesickness while also allowing us to experience the true beauty of the real Bali. If we could move into the cabin, we would in a heartbeat. The staff is incredible and they immediately made us feel like family. We have officially named the cabin our “home away from home” and hope to return when we begin to feel homesick. If you love the outdoors, gardens, trails, flowers, and campfires, you will not be disappointed.

This place exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely beautiful, maybe the most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed. The staff were very friendly, the views were unbelievable, food was delicious and easy to order, and the included scooter was perfect for us to explore surrounding areas. We also enjoyed a massage at their spa which was amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Bali!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Stay with an Outstanding Host! Ketut is an absolutely wonderful host! His communication was excellent throughout our stay, and he went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. When we mentioned issues with the refrigerator, he promptly replaced it with a new one - that's the level of service you can expect here! We stayed for a month in January with our family of four, and the experience was incredible. The house is situated in a peaceful location on a small road, with occasional passing traffic being the only ambient sound. The location is perfect for exploring many attractions: the beautiful Virgin Beach, Taman Ujung Palace, Tirta Gangga Temple, and Bali Chocolate Factory are all nearby. Amed, with its excellent snorkeling beaches, European cafes, and shops, is just a 40-minute drive away. The house itself is spacious and immaculately clean, furnished with new furniture. Magnifique Villa ! Bayu et Kaleck ont été très à l'écoute de nos besoins et ont fait le nécessaire pour répondre à nos demandes. Le lieu est très paisible et la villa est vraiment très grande. On entend le son de la mer depuis nos chambres et c'est très reposant. Très belle endroit.

I know Amed and Lipah Beach well as well as the restaurant at this location. So the choice to stay here was easy for me. The place is exactly as described, and the unit is brand new, super clean, and comfortable. Iko, Rian and the staff are great and always available to help. Other than a few small issues that were quickly resolved, I had no real complaints. I can recommend and will most certainly be back! :)

A gem, the views from the balcony of this flat is stunning, the whole flat is perfect, fully equipped and clean. From the start Guna was extremely helpful and friendly, couldn’t ask for a better host tbh. Had a couple things happened and he solved it in a heart beat. All the staff there were friendly and always ready to help. A stone throws away to the beach and all that it offers which is great. I would definitely recommend Guna’s Flat to anyone looking for their time in Amed! Thanks guys!

I found this location great, right on the beachfront with a great view, very peaceful. I only stayed for one night but I wish it could have been longer. Hosts were very responsive and able to help and offered bbq and kayak which we used and throughly enjoyed. Will definitely be back. 10/10 one of the best air bnbs I’ve had the pleasure of staying in.

L'appartement est très mignon et bien aménagé surtout la cuisine pour les long séjour. La salle de bain est spacieuse avec de l'eau chaude. L'emplacement est parfait pour la plongée. Vous avez les centres de plongée et la plage à 5 minutes à pieds ainsi que restaurant et magasin d' alimentation. Gede est une personne très agréable et serviable. Le prix est vraiment intéressant. Si je reviens encore pour un long séjour c'est avec plaisir que je reviendrai ici.

the place is very nicely located close to a restaurant/cafè where i go to every day now (good stuff). to the centre of amed its also kinda close although in general in amed its nice to have a scooter. the area is quiet with lots of greens surrounded. indah is a very friendly and welcoming host who even took as to the balinese new years celebration which was great to see and experience. the place is a great one for nature lovers who dont want to be in the centre of amed but still walkable distance.

This beautiful place is high above the crowds, closer to the clouds! Such altitude allows impressive views. Cool in every sense, the comfortably furnished and nicely presented villa has an elegant Balinese style with charming, authentic decorations. We enjoyed Kusmiatun's kind hospitality, and especially appreciated her very helpful flexibility over our early check-in. We hope to stay there longer next time.

Wir sind durch die Tür gekommen und es war einfach traumhaft. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt und haben die Ruhe dort sehr genossen. Absolut gepflegte Unterkunft und der Pool war zu jeder Tageszeit unser Highlight. Wir haben viele Tipps bekommen für die Gegend und Carole und Suresh waren super freundlich und immer gut erreichbar. Dass wir uns auf deutsch unterhalten konnten, war ein schöner Bonus :) Für unseren 1. Urlaub auf Bali haben wir die perfekte Unterkunft gebucht und würden es von Herzen weiterempfehlen.

What excellent value for money. Everything we needed for the afternoon and evening before catching a late flight home. Perfect spot for last minute market shopping and a spectacular beach sunset - we actually wished we'd been able to stay the night as the bed was comfy and the linen spotless. Although a little tired the place was spotless - we were very impressed and the cleaner was so helpful and absolutely lovely. If Legian is your place to come then don't look past this for a value stay with access to three pools and the beach.

The accommodation was fantastic. It was very roomy, clean and in a fantastic location. We had use of the resort facilities and loved the pool. We also used the restaurant and the food was great. The beach is a 15 minute walk but there is also a shuttle service available.

We had a great stay at Nings place, all the staff are very friendly and helpful always asking if you are comfortable, if you need anything and cleaning your room and kitchen area everyday! The room and bathroom is clean, comfortable and private. The WiFi is super fast and air-conditioner works great. The dogs are completely fine, they are clean and friendly and we loved giving them belly rubs and snacks! Cling Cling is super cute, this dog has my heart. Highly recommend this place, one of the best I have stayed. Thank you for everything Ning, Michael, Debbie and Ayu see you again soon!

Really nice little apartment in Ubud, tucked away from the main road so no traffic noises, surrounded by nature. The pool is a dream, the bed was comfy and overall I felt at home here. The staff are absolute sweethearts and the room was made up daily. Overall would recommend. :)
