OPEN 20 March 2026 Nestled in the mountains of Nara and Yoshino, surrounded by greenery, lies a quiet, traditional Japanese-style inn, where only one group is accommodated per day: B&B Morino Akari.(The name means "Light of the Forest") ⚫︎ During your stay, breakfast and dinner prepared by the owner are included (see photos for reference). ⚫︎ We can also provide meals for pescatarians and vegetarians. The kitchen area is shared with Hotos.The rest of the property is for your exclusive use, and you can enjoy your time as freely as if you were renting the entire building. This spacious area, measuring approximately 230 m², can accommodate up to eight people.Ideal for family or group trips.There is also excellent access to Yoshinoyama, a popular cherry blossom viewing spot, and Kinnosuke-sanji Temple, a World Heritage Site. We have preserved the historic beams and tiled roof while creating a comfortable space for you to enjoy.The tranquillity of the mountains, the gentle light that shines at night.Here, you can enjoy a moment to forget about everyday life. To enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, we recommend travelling by car. (If you wish, we can arrange transport to and from the nearest train station) Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a relaxing stay.

Ittougashi

You can rent a guest house in a full-fledged Japanese house built about 100 years ago in the Taisho era. You can relax and enjoy your stay in Nara. It is located right next to Nara Park and about a 10-minute walk to Kintetsu Nara Station. It is also easy to take a stroll in the quiet early morning or evening. Same price for up to 4 people.It can accommodate up to 9 guests. The latticed windows, tea rooms, verandas, courtyards, and Japanese houses built in the Taisho era are full of charm. Please relax in the living room with a sunken brazier facing the courtyard. The kitchen is equipped with an IH stove, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, pot, cooking utensils, etc. Cook together and enjoy a meal around the kotatsu while looking out at the garden! There are two toilets and two shower rooms. There are no facilities like a hotel, but we would appreciate it if you could have a nostalgic atmosphere and a relaxing time. There are only bedrooms, for a total of 3 rooms (4 rooms if you divide the large Japanese-style room). We will prepare it according to the number of people. Kashinoki-an is in a very convenient location, just a 3-minute walk from Kintetsu Kashihara-Jingu-Mae Station. Kashihara Jingu Shrine is a historic town with the mausoleum and shrine of the first emperor of Japan, in the place where Japan began. It is also a place with a lot of greenery and nature. In the neighborhood, there is Asuka, which retains the appearance of ancient Japan, and is dotted with many ruins. Imai-cho, where the old streets from the Edo period still exist, is also a highlight. Kashinoki-an is a pure Japanese-style house built over 60 years ago, and you can also enjoy the garden. The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated for a pleasant stay. There is also a tourist information center, restaurant, tavern, supermarket, drug store, convenience store, and 100-yen shop nearby, making it very convenient. You can also get to Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara in about an hour.

The scenery of Japan's first capital, Asuka, has been preserved by the Asuka Law for 1400 years without change. There you will find nostalgic Japanese original scenery that will soothe your heart. The inn is located in the heart of the village, Asuka Village, in the Asuka area. The exterior of the inn is made of Yoshino cedar and finished with plaster. The interior is decorated with joinery and stairs relocated from a 100-year-old private house, and a single board of Yoshino cedar. The interior is finished with traditional Japanese tatami mats, floor-to-ceiling and decorative pillars, and numerous props, making it an accommodation where you can feel Japanese tradition everywhere. Nearby, you can feel the history of ancient times with Japan's oldest Asuka-ji Temple and Asuka-za Shrine, which is also famous in the Nihon Shoki.

A private space surrounded by Makomada. The entire ancient private house "Makomo House" is for rent, featuring a traditional irori fireplace and a traditional Goemon bath.

Makomo House is located in a mountain village at an altitude of 500 m on the Oku-Mikawa Plateau in Nara The 100-year-old house is a private rental. Makomo-no-ta, which is said to be "the grass where God dwells", spreads around the inn, and you can relax in your room and feel the "Makomo breeze". You can enjoy the "Medicinal Herb Makomo Bath" at the Irori back table and the Goemon bath, where the well water is heated with firewood. There is no TV or wifi, so why not turn off your digital devices and turn on your own sensibilities? Enjoy the soothing sounds of nature, such as the rustling of makomo leaves, the babbling of the river, the chirping of birds, the chorus of frogs, and the sound of deer.

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!

The nearest station is Oji Station on the JR Line (18 minutes from Osaka Tennoji Station). It is about a 20-minute bus ride from Oji Station. If you are coming by train, we will pick you up at the nearest station. The last pick-up time is 7:00 PM. After that, please use the bus. There is a lovely hot spring nearby, or you can walk there. There is a barbecue facility in the garden. Convenient access to Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Koyasan, and Yoshino.
