Cycling, shopping, fine dining, theatres, & world famous breweries are within a 20 minute drive. Enjoy World Famous Sunsets from the porch of the Pebble or S'Mores around the propane fire pit on the upper deck. Head down the stairs to the beach which is a mere 39 steps away. Not suitable for children. No pets.

Nov 1 to early May the cabin is partially OFF GRID- No running water/shower/indoor bathroom at this time. Water is provided with water dispenser//outhouse cleaned between guests. Sauna & roto spa tub available yr round. Pet friendly// 1 dog per booking with pet fee. Cabin heated by wood stove in the winter months and supplemented with a mini split heater. Firewood/kindling provided. Summer/fall 2025 there may be some construction noise during your stay due to development in the area.

The Byre is old English for 'the barn'. Our hand-built cabin comfortably sleeps two in an open concept main floor bedroom. Floor to ceiling windows allow you to enjoy field, orchard and pasture views! You'll also enjoy an indoor fireplace to keep you cozy in the colder months and an outdoor campfire to roast marshmallows on summer nights! The kitchen is well suited for light cooking. Sunrise Cottage is 80 steps away (yes.. we counted) from a public beach access which leads to the sandy shores of Lake Huron, where you can witness breathtaking sunsets or just enjoy a day at the beach.

1920’s Original Kintail Beach Cottage

This was the first cottage on Kintail Beach built in approximately 1920 of cedar shiplap. It has been recently renovated and furnished but retains its rustic appeal. Enjoy beautiful views of Lake Huron from the screened in porch, have a BBQ, or relax on the beach! The beach is approximately 50 steps down a gravel path from the cottage.
