Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Koto City

Staying at this Airbnb was a wonderful experience. It was easily walkable from the closest station. The place is nice and clean and had a lot of room. The beds were comfortable and there were enough amenities that made the stay comfortable and easy. The host was incredibly kind and helpful and very responsive. Overall would definitely recommend.

We arrived really early and needed to leave our luggage at airbnb before our check in time and our host was very accommodating.

Wir haben uns direkt in der Unterkunft wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und die Dachterrasse ist wirklich toll! Direkt um die Ecke ist eine Bahnstation, Getränkeautomaten und Lebensmittelgeschäfte. Diese Unterkunft hat einfach alles was man braucht! Sie ist definitiv einen Aufenthalt wert!

This stay was perfect for our first stop in Japan. The house is quiet but also located close to a station, shops, and restaurants. She is very thorough in her instructions and added some extra nice touches to our stay.

Wonderful hosts! I cannot say that enough. We were picked up and dropped off at the station coming from Narita. The house is just as you see in the photos and everything is well taken care of. Whenever we had concerns or questions, there we had a response. For a big trip internationally, the recommendations were well received and the hosts helped us with travel and figuring out where to get on the train and how to get around. Facilities inside were great. Air conditioning with fans. Washer was available to use. Just a notice for potential lookers. I guess you could say we were in the 'suburbs' of Tokyo. Travel is a little longer than usual by train but we adapted well and planned around that. There are stairs up to the main floor. A little narrow, so if you are okay with that, then this is a great place to stay. Just make sure you follow house rules and you will have a great time. I have no real negatives to say.

Pencil House is centrally located. It’s a 5 minute walk to Hatsudai station, then just one stop to Shinjuku station (15/20 minute walk from Pencil House). Plenty of space in the house for our family of 4. We were all jet lagged the first couple of days and it was helpful to be able to move around without waking everyone else up. Great to have access to a full kitchen & a washer too. There’s a 7 eleven and a delicious yakitori restaurant only a short block away. Tracey & Ash were super responsive and had all household supplies fully stocked. Ash picked us up from Narita and drove us to the house. We all felt right at home! My family of 5 stayed at Ritsuko’s home. We greatly enjoyed our stay. The bedrooms all had tatami mat flooring which gave the home an authentic Japanese feel. The home had all the amenities we required to have a comfortable stay for three evenings. We enjoyed the fact that the home was tucked away on a quiet street away from traffic. Therefore, it was quite private and quiet. Ritsuko was incredibly responsive and very helpful. I would highly recommend this home.

We had a lovely stay. The Accomodation was really comfortable, the apartment very well equipped and well presented. It had everything you need and it felt like Yume had paid great attention to detail and was really invested in making anyone’s stay comfortable. It felt fresh, clean and very well maintained. It is within very easy walking distance to the station and a 7-Eleven, bakery and restaurants. The neighbourhood has a nice feel to it too. The stairs are steep inside the apartment but that is standard for Japan. The apartment is very spacious by Japanese standards. All in all a very good stay. Thank you.

Studio idéal pour 2 personnes pour découvrir Tokyo ! Rue très calme, petit balcon très agréable, à 15mns de Shinjuku (LE hub pour aller dans tous les quartiers de la ville) en prenant l'une des 3 lignes de bus (32, 33 ou 35) qui sont à 100m de l'appartement ou directement le métro dont les 2 stations les plus proches sont à 8 et 12 minutes à pied. Nombreux kombini à proximité. Cassandra nous a permis de faire notre check in à 9h00 du matin en arrivant de l'aéroport, instructions hyper claires pour récupérer la clef dans la boite aux lettres. Bref, tout était parfait !

Smaller than expected, but in great location to visit senso ji temple.

Väldigt bra och rymligt boende i ett fint och vackert område. Lägenheten rymde 3 personer och hade ett fullt utrustat kök och stort badrum. Hiss upp till lägenheten var hjälpsamt när vi hade flera resväskor med oss. Området är tryggt, lugnt och hade många restauranger och bra tågförbindelser. Väldigt nära till tunnelbanestation och många conbinis som hade öppet dygnet runt. Vi kände oss som hemma och skulle absolut bo där igen. Rekommenderar starkt.

Everything was great during our stay. The only thing is that it is on the fourth floor with no elevators so it is a little hassle when arriving and departing with luggage and there is no iron. Also, It is about 30 minutes from downtown Tokyo so transportation was a little expensive Other than that, a flawless stay and would recommend for small group traveling to Tokyo.

the location was amazing! it had everything we needed from conbinis to restaurants to a dryer. it is not far to walk to the station as well. the place is quite small actually but it fits 2 people. won’t be able to open 2 huge luggages at once though.

Place is easy to access, very nice and comfort beds, spacey easy for 5 people to walking around. Near to station of Skytree and asakutsa, beautiful surrounding... alot of park, and next to sumida rivers... Skytree tower is on the sight, nice view on the night.

Fantastic location and squeaky clean! Easy to check in, great “user guide” for Japanese appliances. Highly recommend!

Masami was amazing! From the booking process to the stay, she was extremely communicative and responsive. Her guides in the home was thorough and left me feeling confident when navigating appliances in a difference language. The location was also very convenient. I would definitely recommend Masami!

Estamos muy felices de habernos hospedado en el departamente de Akiko! No sólo sus instrucciones fueron claras, la casa estaba reluciente sino que también nos dió varias recomendaciones. Es el departamento perfecto y muy tranquilo luego de un día de mucho caminar para recorrer la ciudad. Sin duda queremos volver!

Sho's apartment was in a great location, close to public transit with various options. Sho was a great host, checking in with us and making sure that everything met our expectation. It was a great trip and made better by being out of the bustle of Tokyo centre while still being very accessible. I recommend Sho's accommodation to anyone.

Très bon emplacement, distance à pied jusqu'à la station "Otsuka". Beaucoup bon restaurants à la proximité. Quartier calme. Phoenix est toujours très réactive, il est très compréhensive et aimable. 2 chambres spacieux, un balcon avec la lave linge. Il y a un placard pour chaque chambre. Les parapluies sont disponible. J'ai un petit problème avec la lave linge et j'ai signalé ce problème à Phoenix. Il a réagit rapidement. Je recommande.

A comfortable place to stay for a week in tokyo - felt local/removed from the touristy parts of town, but it is pretty easy to get to Shinjuku and Shibuya, given how close it is to Kyodo station. Plenty of room for a family of 4 and easy access to groceries. Would not recommend for people with limited mobility or a lot of luggages since it is a 3rd floor walk up and the stairs are fairly narrow (tight for big suitcases)

Eric's place was exactly as described. We knew that the kitchen was not fully equipped which suited us as we intended to avail ourselves of the kombini or restaurants. Early risers in need of coffee may want to bring their own portable brewing devices. There is an electric kettle. McDonald's closeby opens at 7, or there is bottled coffee available at the kombini (Lawson's for example) which can be microwaved. We used the delivery service Wolt, too. The laundry facilities are on the balcony outside the apartment and there is no dryer. Clothes dried very quickly when hung up. The neighborhood is residential and quiet, offering to foreigners perhaps a more authentic experience of Japan. Those travelers with heavy luggage should know that there are two flights of steep stairs. Either write down the address for taxi drivers or learn to say the address in Japanese. Thanks, Eric.

The apartment was great, the location was great, and Bryan was very flexible with all our needs! Definitely one of the best places to stay in Tokyo. We would definitely recommend his place to a family visiting Tokyo and looking for a comfortable stay!

Hitomi took amazing care of me and my daughter while we were her guests! She sent us a detailed list of recommendations for the neighborhood including kid-friendly highlights. When my daughter needed to go to the doctor, she sent a list of clinics. She also helped me ship some luggage to make my train trip easier. She was an incredible host, always going above and beyond.
