The accommodation is in a quiet residential neighborhood that is well located, 5 minutes on foot from Yamagoe Station on the Tozai Subway Line and 8 minutes on foot from JR Yamagoe Station, with good security. JR Yamashiro Station is one stop (5 minutes) from JR Kyoto Station. This area is home to many people, so there are many supermarkets, 24-hour convenience stores, restaurants, and bars, so you'll have no trouble finding things while traveling. The house is in a residential neighborhood, so it's very quiet at night, so you can enjoy a stay and experience as if you were living in Japan. You can access all of Kyoto's tourist attractions by public transportation such as trains and buses from the nearest station, JR Yamko Station and Yamko Subway Station. It is also easy to get to Kansai Airport, Osaka, Nara, Tokyo, and many other places. The highway (Kyoto East IC) is a 3-minute drive from the inn. * Free parking is available for 1 car in the parking lot about 300 meters from the house. Please relax with your family and friends in a good old Japanese private house while watching the Japanese garden handled by a famous Kyoto gardener. We have four single futons and one double futon, so you can stay up to 6 people. As this is a traditional Japanese kominka house, you may experience some minor issues, such as creaky fittings, but I hope you will enjoy the character of this fine old Japanese building. There is also an artificial lawn garden, and pets can stay, so please use it for trips with your dog. Families with children are also very welcome.Children's crockery and aprons are also provided. The nearest station, Keihaka Otani Station, is a 7-minute walk, and JR Otsu Station is a 5-minute drive. There are two delicious and famous long-established eel shops near the nearest Otani Station. It is less than a 10-minute walk from Keihan Otani Station to the inn, but it is a little uphill, so if you have a lot of luggage at check-in or if you don't like walking, we recommend taking a taxi from JR Otsu Station or coming by car. Free parking is available right in front of the inn.The parking lot can accommodate two vehicles, so it is convenient for two groups.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
