The location is centrally located in Western Finland. It is 1 to 2 hours drive to Nordkapp, Honningsvåg, Alta, Hammerfest, Havøysund, Lakselv and Karasjok. Smørfjord has nice hiking areas with good fishing water and mules. There is also the possibility of fishing in the sea from jetties and mountains. In autumn and winter there is the possibility of seeing northern lights.
