I had a lovely stay at Alberto's house. From the beginning, Alberto and his wife were incredibly kind and attentive, always available to help and ensure everything went smoothly. Their warm hospitality made me feel very welcome. The house is comfortable and well-suited for a family of four, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was the beautiful view of the surrounding nature and the peaceful, quiet atmosphere—perfect for resting and disconnecting. The location, in the countryside near Marvão, Castelo de Vide, and other Alto Alentejo highlights, is ideal for those looking to explore the region’s charm and natural beauty. It’s a great base for day trips, though it’s important to note that the house can only be reached by car. Overall, this is a cozy and well-located home in a tranquil area with thoughtful and welcoming hosts. I would gladly return and highly recommend it to others.

Easy to access apartment, parking possible 30 seconds walk away, safe and tastefully decorated place! Small medieval town that is worth the trip …everything is on foot . Marillia was excessively proactive, we had questions about how a device works and the answers were quick! Everything was thought out for a guest's place. Thank you so much for everything!

Why oh why didn’t we stay longer?! What a restful place! Everything about our stay was first class - from the responsive host, to the hearty welcome from Jose to the quirky, comfortable house, to the beautiful surroundings. The house is rustic but modern where you want it to be; quiet but with oh-so-easy access to Marvão, Castelo de Vide, Elvas and the conquistador towns. It’s perfect for just relaxing too and we would recommend the walk up to the rock art - wonderful views, fun climbing the rock and ladders and just amazing to be in the presence of our ancestors’ rudimentary art. The fire works brilliantly, the kitchen is great to cook in and the beds are comfortable. All in all, just a great place to explore and relax. We would love to return some day…

We had the most peaceful, relaxing time staying at this cottage. It has been carefully and stylishly converted, with lots of character. I especially loved the vaulted roof and the wonderful shower. The private pool is a real bonus and we loved eating by the pool looking over the olive trees - very restful. Daniel went above and beyond to greet us when we arrived late after our flight, and on a rainy day even brought us a hamper of bread, pastries and coffee - he could not have been more helpful and considerate. Beautiful Marvão and Castelo de Vide are easily reachable, and we also made a day trip to Cáceres just over the border visiting the stunning old town area. On our quiet days we enjoyed several walks amongst the cork oak, olive, eucalyptus, and mimosa tree in the surrounding hills of the national park. A wonderful stay in a beautiful place, highly recommended.
