“The old Gravetsch farm is a truly magical place; it is managed with great love and attention by Martin and his wife Dorothea Pupp (there are also their three little ones). The farm is a traditional farm with cows, rabbits and chickens. The apartment is brand new, with stube and wood in perfect Tyrolean mountain style, very warm, equipped with everything you need. Martin brings freshly milked milk in the morning, eggs and speck which he personally smokes in a special room. The farm has an old church and a museum with old tools and cellars where the speck that Martin made us visit ages. Finding such a place was a real fortune. We have been wonderfully recommend it to everyone and will be back for sure. Thanks Pupp family !!”
The accommodation is located directly on the Kastanienweg, on the sunny side of the Eisack Valley. Not far from the village center Villanders, in the immediate vicinity of the Künstelerstädtchen Klausen.
“Anna's place was wonderful!! It was probably the cleanest place we have ever stayed and the views and amenities were amazing. Anna and her daughter were incredibly accommodating and helpful as we tried to figure out what we should do while there. Gasser Hutte was a wonderful place for some winter alpine hiking (and likely in the summer too). It can easily be accessed via a short walk into town on the Chestnut trail to catch a bus that takes you up the mountain. Seceda is also a must see. There seems to be tons of hiking up there in the summer, during the winter you can still probably spend a couple of hours walking around with snowshoes, but it is also worth the cable car rid just for the views. We wish we had more time Tschott and will certainly be back if we are in the area again!”
You will love my accommodation because of the quiet location in the middle of meadows and forests. The beautiful view from the balcony of the apartment, where in the summer with a glass of wine can see the starry sky. With a little luck, you can also spot a wild animal, such as a deer or a deer. For your lunch or dinner you can get fresh herbs from the herb garden and fresh milk and eggs from our chickens, for breakfast there are also with us.
“Johanna was SO hospitable, leaving us a strudel to come home to on our last day, and even coming out to find us on our first evening due to us not finding the place in the dark. The place itself was super comfortable and the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. We were expecting the house to be cold but it was so warm, well built, well equipped with everything you need and extremely peaceful. The view was so beautiful of the surrounding hills and mountains, on a nice day you can sit and have dinner on the balcony and take in the view. One of our favourite things about the place was a little black and white cat who was so friendly that he followed us on our walk in the woods, and when we tried to take him back he climbed on our shoulders and hitched a ride all the way home!”
