The idyllically situated "Mühlenhaus" on the Mühlenbach of the Nethe is part of the castle ensemble in Amelunxen. Formerly built as the miller's residence, it is nestled in the village and thus within walking distance of the village shop and bakery. Family-owned for generations, it still serves as a private vacation home. It impresses with its traditional furnishings and cozy atmosphere. My place is right in the center of the historic old town of Höxter. Restaurants and pubs as well as all shopping are within walking distance. Corvey Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is only about 3 km away. Höxter is located on the R1 bike path, only about 500 meters from the apartment. Towards Godelheim after about 1.5 km is the recreational lake with swimming and sports facilities, which is very popular in good weather.

Family Waldkauz's guest house in the middle of the forest

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.
