You’ll be staying in a charming historic townhouse in the lively Schildersbuurt neighborhood, just a short walk from Groningen’s city center, great restaurants, and the Noorderplantsoen park right around the corner.

The Landscape

In this luxurious spacious home, you will experience rural life at its best! With a magnificent view over the countryside in the characteristic landscape of the Frisian Forests, it is wonderful to relax. Even from your bed, you can enjoy the great views and a beautiful sunrise. Who knows, you might spot deer, cows, birds and hares in the meadow. Enjoy the alpacas in the yard. The Landzicht is a great starting point to explore the area. Located near nature reserves, Drachten and the A7.

The historic bakery from 1663 in Wergea is 15 minutes by car from the center of Leeuwarden. The house is completely restored and equipped with all the comforts. The decor is a combination of warm colors, materials, modern and classic furniture, with many home accessories. It is often compared to a Charles Dickens atmosphere. Because the house is in the middle of Fryslân, it is perfect for excursions, in addition to relaxing and enjoying. But of course also wonderful to go to Leeuwarden.

Live the good life in a real warehouse. La Dolce Vita in Leeuwarden. Spacious, luxurious and above all cozy and attractive. We have 2 suites and a beautiful living room and kitchen. You can rent the suites separately for 2 people per suite, but you can also rent the entire house with four people. You sleep in wonderful electrically adjustable beds from Hastens. Our house is a small but very nice house. From the jetty, you can board the boat and sail towards the Frisian lakes. The house is very quiet and is equipped with every comfort. You can stay comfortably with 4 people at the Wjitteringswei. The beds are wonderful. They are now set up as a double bed but can also be set up as 4 single beds. Wi-Fi is of course also available. And above all, a fantastic view. Check-in from 3 p.m. and check-out until 12 p.m.

The Carriage House near Leeuwarden

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.
