The 300-year-old, cozy house is located directly on the river Dokkumer Ee in a friendly neighborhood. From the terrace (also usable as a parking space) you can see ships passing by. You can visit the mill and buy groceries at the bakery around the corner. There is a small local history museum, refreshments and a flower shop. The cities of Dokkum and Leeuwarden are easily accessible, as are the Wadden Sea coast and the ferry ports to the islands of Ameland and Schiermonikoog.

The spacious luxury house is right in the center on the canal, near the woods and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Behind our beautifully renovated 1930s home is a deep garden, overlooking the countryside. Here we have been able to put up a beautiful cottage with a lot of love, which we have built ourselves. It is a "Lyts" small "Gesellich" cozy space with its own garden. Discover the surroundings or in transit, everything is possible. And that's just outside of Leeuwarden! P.S. The cottage is located on an N road with unobstructed views over the countryside on the other side.

Here in the quiet Frisian Rohel, you can really be outside, feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin. Cycling and walking along the meadows and (cold) swimming in the Tjeukemeer. Drink a glass of wine on the terrace by the water, with the view of infinity, under the old fruit trees in the garden. Apart from the sounds of birds, the rustling of the wind and in the distance a tractor, you hear nothing at all here. The sunsets can be amazingly beautiful here.

The bathroom has a spacious shower cabin, bathroom furniture and toilet. The small but cozy living room is furnished with a complete kitchen with stove, fridge and oven, a small dining area and two armchairs. On the upper floor with loft is a double box spring. You have a private entrance and a simple patio.

Lodging "Smederij Sterk" is located in the old city forge of J. Sterk. The monumental building dates from 1907 and is located in the middle of the city center, close to museums, restaurants, cozy shopping streets and the station. The accommodation has its own entrance, a living room with its own kitchen, a bedroom and a private bathroom with shower and toilet.
