In short: secluded location, high-quality renovation, mountain views, quiet location, numerous hiking opportunities directly from the house, ski resort nearby. The house is located above St. Lorenzen in the Lesachtal, a mountaineering village in the middle of the Carnic Alps and Lienz Dolomites. Our old farmhouse, which was lovingly expanded and renovated in 2023, is located on the edge of the forest in a beautiful secluded location and is directly accessible by car. Due to the south-facing orientation, our guests enjoy sun from early to late.

A building made entirely of wood, both inside and out. A spacious, bridge-like entrance is the only connection to the seemingly floating building. The wood-burning stove with optional hob complements the kitchen and spreads cosy warmth throughout the house. The expansive table comfortably seats 6-8 people. The gigantic panoramic window with sunbathing area on the mezzanine creates a bridge to the surrounding nature. A feeling of being outside with the comfort of being inside.

Feel at home in our ground-level apartment with a large garden and wonderful garden lounge. With a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains, you can spend a great time here. Apartment one is equipped with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with toilet and shower. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, a coffee machine and a kettle. Hairdryer, towels and linens are available. Tumble dryer and washing machine in the basement as well as drying room, bicycle and ski room for everyone.

The whole house will be rented only for you and the owner doesn't live in the house. The House Waltraud is ideal for summer /winter vacation (only 5 minutes from Ski Center St. Jakob) with family and friends, as it can accommodate up to 19 people. The house is set in the midst of the Hohe Tauern National Park in Defereggental Valley at 1400 metres above sea level in East Tyrol.

The house is perfect for unforgettable evenings in a private setting. The sauna cottage is also available upon request.
