Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Madeira Island

We enjoyed our stay in Mauricio house. The view from the house and the sound of the ocean is amazing. The house is newly renovated so it is very confortable. I would have like to have all the necessary like coffee, shower gel, oil etc.. that you don’t want to buy only for few days. Anyway I recommend the place.

This was a delightful place to stay. Very private and so many facilities for a small place. Beautiful views, swimming pool and honesty bar. A total hidden gem.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad met zijn vijven. Het ontbrak aan niets, werkelijk alles was aanwezig (zelfs een kaasschaaf, fijn voor een Nederlander😅). Ook een heerlijke buitenruimte met voldoende meubilair voor ons allen. Een aanrader. Ik zou graag nog eens komen.

The best hosts ever, they were both super helpful and incredibly friendly. Sanjay met us at the local supermarket and guided us to the Casa, which was helpful. The location is great, breath taking views across the valley, and mountains. Feels like you are at the top of the world. We loved watching the rainbows and listening to the bells from the church tower across the valley. The surroundings were peaceful and we especially loved the tropical garden that Svenja has planted, with several secret places to sit and soak up the ambience. The Casa was well equipped and we were provided with all the essential provisions, so we were able to make a meal on arrival. The central location ment that we were able to access most spots on the Island within an hour. We stayed for nine nights but wished we had planned for longer. Definitely recommend Casa Verde and we will be back again.

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich traumhaft schön. Die Terrasse ist das Highlight, mit Grillstation, Außendusche und WC, Liegen, Tisch und Stühlen. Der Ausblick aufs Meer ist unbezahlbar. In der Wohnung selbst, fehlt es an nichts. Genug Stauraum, 2 große Doppelbetten, ein klasse Bad und eine super Küche mit Meerblick. Von der Garage kann man direkt mit dem Fahrstuhl ins Penthouse fahren, aber auch zu Fuß ums Haus gehen. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt, nicht zuletzt weil die liebe Eva sich ständig um uns gekümmert hat wenn wir mal eine Frage hatten. Sie ist die Seele der Unterkunft :-) Viele gute Tipps haben wir von ihr erhalten, sie ist sehr gastfreundlich, flexibel und hat immer sehr schnell geantwortet. Wir hatten eine traumschöne Woche zum Blumenfest! Danke Eva!

Maison située sur la place de l'église d'un petit village. Sergio a été un hôte très accueillant et disponible.

We stayed here for just over a week. It was a fantastic base for exploring the island as, although a bit further out, was still easy to get to all of the main sights and places. The quiet area was perfect for us (a family of 4) and it was wonderful to be surrounded be trees, peace, and amazing views. The accommodation is perfect for two couples. Communication with the host was prompt and friendly whenever we had a query. We would definitely recommend this to others! Two tips for guests staying here: 1) if you use the fire, leave the upstairs window open a crack to ensure the smoke is more effectively drawn up through the chimney. 2) if you have an error on the hob/cooker, we found that turning off a heater/oven/washing machine etc made this disappear as it allowed enough power to reach the cooker.

It's a bit remote on Madeira Island, but if you don't mind that, it's a perfect place to stay. It's very clean, well equipped, plenty of room for everything. We stayed there as a group of 7 and never felt crowded. Carla is the best host I've ever met - always responding, very helpful and polite. Overall, 10/10 recommendation, I can't say anything bad about this place.

es war ein wirklich sehr schönes großes haus mit einem paradisischem Balkon und einen herrlichen Ausblick über das ganze Dorf auf knappen 300 höhenmeter. Auto muss man ganz klar besitzen,sonst könnte es problematisch sein. kalt wird es tatsächlich nachts und morgens auch, aber dafür gibt es immerhin mobile heizgeräte in der wohnung. Kakerlaken sind uns leider auch beim direkten Bezug aufgefallen, nachdem wir jedoch 5 stück beseitigt hatten, haben wir kein Problem mehr damit gehabt

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable chez Ivone et Garry. L’appartement dispose d’une vue incroyable sur la mer et tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter pour un prochain séjour à Madère !

Marco was a great host, very quick to reply and offered local information. The home has everything you need plus fantastic views of the mountains. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the outside shelter with the fire on in the evenings. There is a great little cafe and shop 10 minutes away and it's a short drive to both the mountains and the coast. This Airbnb feels like a very authentic Madeiran experience and we loved it.

Wij zijn net terug van een heerlijk verblijf op Madeira. Wat een prachtig en gastvrij eiland en wat een mooie locatie! De locatie is ruim en biedt volop privacy, Ezequiel, Juan en Maria zijn zeer vriendelijk, behulpzaam en gastvrij. De locatie bestaat uit 2 appartementen met allebei een eigen keuken. Het ene appartement heeft een twee persoonsbed, het andere 3 kamers met 5 slaapplaatsen (2 twee persoonsbedden en 2 een persoonsbedden). Dan is er een geweldige buitenkeuken bij het zwembad met een mooie uitkijk over de zee. De accomodatie is van alle gemakken voorzien en is keurig onderhouden. De hosts zijn erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Vanuit Arco da Calheta ben je zo bij Calheta (supermarkt, strand, restaurants en walvissen/dolfijnen spotten) en de natuur. Funchal en andere mooie plaatsen zijn per auto prima te bereiken. Tips: wandelen (PR6 en PR1), restaurants (Engenho Elho (Arco da Calheta), Manifattura di Celata (Calheta) en Old Phamarcy (Ponta do Sol). H2O voor boottocht)

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt bei Ana und Marcos. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und geräumig. Alles ist wie auf den Bildern abgebildet, gut ausgestattete Küche, eine Terrasse mit wundervollem Ausblick. Bei der Navigation muss man den kurvigeren Weg nehmen, der jedoch nicht so steil ist, somit ist die Anfahrt problemlos und wir haben mit unserem Mietwagen immer direkt vor dem Haus an der Straße parken können. Den Geruch in der Wohnung haben wir nicht als unangenehm empfunden. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und mit frischer Wäsche ausgestattet. Ana ist eine herzliche und sehr sympathische Gastgeberin, die alles dafür tut , damit man sich wohlfühlt. Wir waren einen Abend mit ihr und ihrem Mann in einer Bar. Die Besitzern Fernanda gab sich alle Mühe und wir bekamen tolle Getränke mit leckerem Essen. Ana gab uns gute Tips für umliegende Restaurants. Jederzeit würde ich diese Unterkunft wieder buchen, wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Danke! Herzliche Grüße, Marie&Aneta.

bei Nelson konnte man sich von Anfang an zuhause fühlen. Vom ersten Empfang durch Dalila bis zur Abfahrt haben wir uns wohlgefühlt. Selbst als eine kleine Reparatur anstand, war diese innerhalb eines halben Tages erledigt plus Wäschewechsel zusätzlich. Wir sind Nelson selbst zwar nicht begegnet, aber hatten in Dalila eine super Ansprechpartnerin. Natürlich ist es bei dieser Lage sinnvoll, ein Auto zu mieten, doch dafür wird man auf der Terasse mit einem unbeschreiblichen Blick entlohnt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden Katrin und Karsten

Great apartment, spotlessly clean and bright. 3 good size double bedrooms with their own balcony’s. Two bathrooms , lovely kitchen and huge living space, also with balcony. Host was very responsive to everything including very late check in and late check out. Overall a very nice apartment that i would recommend. Thanks for everything

lovely place with great views and proximity to funchal centre. private balcony with plenty space and access from both bedrooms and living area with some great late afternoon sun. whole place is air-conditioned and all the entrances and gates are key card operated so very secure

We had the most amazing stay at this Airbnb. The house was absolutely breathtaking, with its beautiful design, spacious rooms, and luxurious touches that made it feel like a true getaway. The spectacular view was something we’ll never forget, offering a peaceful backdrop that we enjoyed daily from the patio and living areas. What made our stay even more special was the incredible team. Nelson, the gardener and maintenance man, was incredibly kind and helpful, always available when we needed anything, yet never intrusive. His care for the gardens was evident, and he made sure everything worked perfectly. Nelia, the cleaner, was also fantastic, going above and beyond to ensure the house was left immaculate. She was so thoughtful and accommodating, making our stay feel effortless. The combination of this amazing property, the stunning views, and the wonderful people made this a truly unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to return!

The property easily lives up to the description and the pictures. The houses are fully equipped, very nicely decorated and comfortable. The swimming pools offer stunning unobstructed views of the ocean during the day and of the sky at night. There are no road noises, the place is truly calm. Grocery stores are a few minutes away by car, as are restaurants. Numerous hikes can be found in the region. The host is very reactive and will provide many recommandations related to restaurants and activities. Renting both houses to two families is a great way to spend time together while also having some privacy. I would go back there without any hesitation.

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful house in Madeira—far beyond my expectations! The view was absolutely breathtaking, even better than the pictures. The house itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and felt very homely. Check-in was seamless, and the hosts were incredibly responsive both before and during my stay. The location is perfect—close to the airport and offering a stunning view over the city. I highly recommend this place and would love to come back!

I absolutely loved staying here. The photos do not do the place justice. It really is a beautiful house. It’s so very quiet there too. I loved being in the garden to do yoga on the platform, surrounded by plants. The hosts added so many little touches that were really appreciated- plenty of soap, herbs in the cupboard, a bottle of wine, books ….. I really did not want to leave. There are not many beautiful, very quiet places to stay. We were only 15 minutes from Funchal!

Beautiful house in a peaceful location surrounded by banana trees. Well equiped. Nice confortable jacuzzi. Definerly need a car to get there. Drive may be challenging in the beggining by the house is worth it!!! We loved our time there. Thank you so much!!!

Alles was perfect. Het huisje is overcompleet. Het is geen vakantiehuis maar een thuis. Contact met de host wordt snel en duidelijk opgepakt. Het uitzicht is prachtig. De wifi is goed, daar waren de kinderen heel blij mee.

We had a wonderful stay! The property is in a great location, completely private, with stunning views and a beautiful garden. It was a shame the weather was a bit too cold to swim in the pool during our stay, but we loved having the fireplace and Maria even brought us some extra wood to keep cosy!

We spent 5 woderful days at the Rock Villas. The place is even more amazing than in the pictures. Fabrice was very nice and helpful in everything we needed. The pool was a great way to end the day. The place is also very well located with many things to do at a short ride away. We highly recommend it!
