Staying at this incredible wooden cottage on Koggala Lake was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome and at home — their warmth and hospitality truly set the tone for the entire stay. A special shoutout to Yohan, whose help and attentiveness were simply amazing and made everything even more seamless. The cottage itself is beautifully constructed, giving off a fantastic homely vibe with stunning views of the lake. The team even torched the gardens for us in the evening, creating a magical, serene atmosphere. The pool was always clean, inviting, and accessible — a perfect spot to unwind whenever we wanted. All our basic needs were thoughtfully and thoroughly taken care of, making the entire experience completely stress-free. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality, this place is an absolute gem. Can’t recommend it enough!

I loved my stay at Nomads. Next to the lake, very peaceful and quiet & still just a close scooter ride away from Ahangama. Sunil and the rest of the crew are the best. Stayed there for a months and was still sad to leave.

A hidden gem amongst nature, Cashew House is truly blissful. Lucie and Lahiru are amazing, welcoming hosts who genuinely care about their guests and go over and above to ensure you have a perfect stay. If you want to go back-to-basics, immerse yourself in nature with a magnficent view to boot, then staying here is a must. Nothing was too much trouble for them, communication pre / during the booking was responsive and informative. This little place of solitude has been created with love and gives you the opportunity to reconnect with nature and cut yourself off from the frenetic outside world. Food - OUTSTANDING! Some of THE best food we have EVER eaten in Sri Lanka on this trip and all made with genuine love. Lahiru is a whizz in the kitchen (I don't think he realises how good he is!!) each dinner left us feeling well and truly satisifed, breakfast the same. Simple, but creative Vegetarian / Vegan cuisine packed with flavour & colour. We regretted not staying longer. We Will Be Back! x

This is my ideal house, very comfortable and quiet, suitable for multiple friends to stay together for a while. Unfortunately, we only stayed for two days due to time constraints. I will stay longer. The housekeeper was very enthusiastic and waited for us until late at night on the day of check-in. I am very grateful. And because we came directly from the airport, we didn't have any cash, thank you for lending us cash.
