Come and enjoy these cosy and private rooms in part of our house. 15 mins walk from rail link to Edinburgh. A ground floor entrance and kitchen leads up to a comfortable sitting room with television , plus a double bed bedroom , and a study/dressing room all with lovely views onto farm land and our own back garden. There is an internal bathroom with toilet, bath and electric shower. There is also access through our dining room to the west facing patio. The kitchen has all the basic necessities.

Coddiwomple Cottage-Birdsong, Flowers and Fields

Coddiwomple means “to travel in a purposeful manner towards a vague destination” we loved the idea. Just 15 minutes from the City of Edinburgh bypass, this is the perfect rural retreat with a hot tub for those that want to explore the surrounding areas. Edinburgh and the Lothians offer much to explore. Just a stones throw away from Glenkinchie Distillery, the accommodation includes use of beautiful mature gardens in a tranquil farmland setting where wildlife is abundant. *VERY family friendly*

Little Linton

Situated in the peaceful and leafy Colinton Village, we have an annex attached to our house for your stay with your own entrance. We love living here and feel it offers country views out to the Pentland hills yet we are easily accessible to the airport and centre of town. We have a double bedroom and sitting room with a small sofa bed/futon (best suited for young person/child due to it being low to the ground) and private bathroom for your stay. Tea, coffee, microwave and toaster are available.

Lovely Guest Suite,Balerno. Sleeps two.

Our guest suite is in a quiet residential area in Balerno; a village at the foot of the scenic Pentland Hills. A beautiful spot for walkers and nature lovers. To visit the city take a 25 minute car drive or the 44 Lothian bus at the end of the road for a 45 min bus ride to Edinburgh City Centre. Complimentary milk, coffee, tea and sugar plus cereal for your first breakfast. Shops, restaurants, bars, cafe & takeaways within a short walk. A parking spot on the drive is available on request.

The Den

The Den is an area separated from the main house by a sliding door. It has patio doors onto a small balcony providing its own ndependent access. Lovely garden. The 'kitchen' is limited and is part of the laundry room. It has a Meile oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine, kettle, toaster and sink but not really suitable for big cook ups. Many buses to city centre. Easy access to the hills, Water of Leith, East and West Loithian and the airport if travelling by car. There is free parking.

The Green sits within Ratho Park Steading: a stunning Scottish courtyard stable (built 1826; converted 2021). It borders Ratho Park Golf club (area of outstanding beauty), a walk from the heart of Ratho village, 8miles from Edinburgh centre. The Mill, formerly the sawmill for Borthwick Hall, is a charming property built in the 1800s. The conversion of the building was completed in 2003 and is now a wonderful family home. My husband, Steve, and I moved up to Scotland from London in December 2017 and absolutely love it up here. With lovely people and beautiful open spaces, it’s the perfect place for us to relax and raise our kids. We love having friends and family visit and look forward to offering our space to guests as well.

This is a large double bedroom suite with relaxing sitting area, double bed and dressing table in the sleeping area, dressing room and shower room. It is part of an old steading has access to on to grassy areas that over look a paddock. The access to all of central Scotland is ideal from this property particularly Edinburgh Airport and the M9/M8 links and the city bypass. although we are close to Edinburgh city this old farm maintains a rural feel and offers a home away from home feel.
