[What I want to tell you in advance] Hello, this is your host, Tsukamoto. Sakura-sho is a place for guests who want to spend their holidays quietly and comfortably. We may decline guests who want to make noise, such as parties. Only guests who can follow the manners and rules are welcome. [Facility Description] The price is the same for up to 5 guests for the entire building. (For 6 or more people, +1,850 yen per person. Preschool children who do not need extra futons or towels are not included in the number of guests) High-speed Wi-Fi is available. The floor plan is 3LDK, and you can enjoy a BBQ outdoors. (You will need to bring BBQ ingredients, charcoal, and equipment such as a stove) There is a swing on the wooden deck. There is a hammock in the living room. And from the windows, you can see the great nature of Ikeda-cho from anywhere, and hear the babbling of the river and the chirping of birds. It is also convenient as a stopover point to the Dinosaur Museum and Eihei-ji Temple. [River Swimming] The Asaba River flows behind Sakura-sho, and in the summer, it is a hidden playground where local children come to play in the river. You can walk there. Onsen There is a hot spring facility called Kanjo that is a 5-minute drive away. There is also a sauna, and it is a place of relaxation for locals and tourists alike.

Haruya Guesthouse
Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

To ensure you enjoy the stay to the fullest, I set check-in and check-out time to both 12:00 Noon. So you can stay up for 24 hours with one night booking. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
