Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Mirror Lake

We rented Kristina's place for a hiking trip, and enjoyed it a lot. The surrounding area is beautiful, there's lots to do and we wished we could have stayed longer. The lodging was as described, the photos are accurate, and the views are STUNNING. Watching the weather over the mountain range out the big picture window was GREAT. The kitchen is large, and well furnished. The main dining room table is big enough to play board games, the hot tub is well maintained and easily held 4 adults, the deck is lovely. Beds were comfy. One minor issue, the shower in the en-suite bathroom wasn't working. We contacted Kristina and the owner was there within maybe 30-60 minutes to address the issue. He gave us a temporary solution and that worked fine for the long weekend. We had a great time and would stay again!

Sonja is amazing to deal with. Very proactive and accessible. The house was in great shape. Her bathrooms were great - up to date, great hot water/pressure. She leaves clear directions and sets up the home to look like an inn (waters and flowers in the bedrooms). Perfect location to walk to town and only 15 mins from Whiteface. Very enjoyable and relaxing weekend.

We had an amazing stay at Johnathan’s beautiful log home for our hockey weekend! The house was spotless, with stunning views and cozy, comfortable beds—perfect for unwinding after long days at the rink. The space was well-stocked and thoughtfully designed, making it feel like a true home away from home. Johnathan was an excellent host—super responsive, helpful, and accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

This is probably one of the best homes we have stayed at in Airbnb. The pictures do not capture just how wonderful this home and the land it is on. The home is decorated really nicely, very colorful, with lots of nice stain glass. The entire home is very comfortable, including the beds and pillows, and there are many places to sit and relax. There are a lot of kitchen amenities and the home is uncluttered and spotlessly clean. The yard is so nice to spend time in and the hot tub is great. There aren't any pics of it but it is the kind with jets and big enough for 2 adults. My only regret is not staying longer!

We came to Jill’s place for a weekend of winter fun and it didn’t disappoint. Has plenty of parking for our truck and trailer, room for our family of 4, clean, well stocked kitchen, comfy living space and bedroom. Close proximity to winter activities and snowmobile trails. Overall great stay!

The place was perfect for 2 couples looking to spend a weekend in the beautiful Adirondack trails. If you want to save on food (cook by yourself I mean) and be within a 25min drive of everything, this is perfect. Thanks Vinny!

This is our 2nd time staying at your place in less than a year. We plan to rent it again this fall if available. We absolutely love the space this house has. Thank you again for another wonderful visit to Saranac Lake.

The farmhouse was a delightful place to stay in lake placid. Behind the house was a rail trail, it was busy but not crowded. People on the trail were respectful; we hardly noticed them. The cabin is fully stocked with basic needs plus more. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into the house. The house is closer to the street than I expected but the street was pretty quiet. The house is in very close proximity to loads of great hikes.

This is our second time staying at Deb's place. Same as last time we were here, the place is clean and feels like our sweet home away from home. My son insisted that we returned to the apartment after learning that we would be doing spring skiing at Whiteface. It is conveniently located, which allows us to ski during the day, come back for a late lunch and rest a bit before heading out to catch the ECAC Men's Hockey final in Lake Placid at night. We look forward to spending more days at Deb's place in the near future.

Lindsey’s place was lovely. It was very clean and an easy walk to the main attractions. Worked very well for our family of 4.

We had three very nice nights! The apartment was bigger than we anticipated and very well appointed. It’s right on a busy corner, so we heard the snowplows during the night (lots of snow!!), but was otherwise peaceful with the sound of the river. Joe was very flexible with dates when we had to shift because of weather. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

We really enjoyed our stay. Check in and check out were so easy. The apartment had everything we needed. We were able to walk so many places and it was a quick drive to everything we planned to do. We will definitely be back.

This Airbnb exceeded our expectations! The space is much larger than it looks in the photos, and it’s beautifully furnished with everything we needed—from comfortable furniture to a fully stocked kitchen. The location is also fantastic, just a short distance from the ski resort, making it super convenient. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

Great place with everything you need. We stayed here to go skiing twice now and it is so nice to be only about 15 minutes from the mountain. Host is very responsive and great to work with. Definitely will be back in the future!

Exactly what we needed! We were in town for a basketball tourney and needed a place to stay while in and out for the weekend. Clean, as listed, felt like home! Roger was extremely responsive and very, very, friendly!! Would stay again!! :)

Wonderful hosts. We had am excellent stay. Apartment was cozy, homey and exactly as the photos and the description. Clean rooms and comfy beds. Would recommend to travelers and would stay again. This is our second stay at Patricia’s property.

We really enjoyed the house. It was very nice and peaceful. Christina was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The place is very aesthetically pleasing and cozy. I like the vintage feel to it. I would recommend to anyone who is visiting in upstate New York. The next time I visit the area I’m absolutely booking here again. The fall foliage was definitely a plus. Huge thanks to Christina we really appreciate it.

Such a beautiful private cabin. Walked around the two small ponds each morning. Perfect location to visit my niece at Paul Smiths. Comfy bed, tons of pillows, plenty warm (we had rain and snow while I was there). I wasn't able to enjoy the small deck because of the weather, but looking out the picture window all day while I remote worked was wonderful. Although Jillian said the wi-fi may not be the 'best', I had no issues with being on multiple TEAMS and Zoom meetings all day and using two laptops. She must have improved this feature. I also got to watch two movies on Netflix, thank you. Jillian, I will be recommending your little cabin to every one of my family members as they go visiting up in your area. It is leaps and bounds better than the last two places I stayed. Jackson is a little sweetheart, he came by each morning to say hello. Sully enjoyed it also. Thank you. Carol.

We had the most wholesome weekend at this Airbnb. The cabin was so cozy and relaxing. It has a beautiful view of the river, which was so relaxing to listen to. The sauna and the fire pit was such a perfect way to relax even more!! The location is perfect for hiking or going skiing at whiteface mountain! We are looking forward to coming back here in the future because we truly loved it!

We enjoyed a quiet long weekend at Robert’s cabin on the lake. It was cozy during the rainy days, and perfect for sunny mornings on the dock. Great secluded location, a quick ride into town but we drove to Lake Placid most nights, which is just a 15m ride. Note there is a busy road across the lake, but it didn’t lessen our experience in any way. Would love to come back in summer when the lake is safe to kayak! Bed and linens were extremely comfortable. Highly recommend this place.

Highly Recommend! Very friendly and excellent hosts, the cabin was immaculately clean and instructions were easy to follow, checkout was a breeze. Rental was quite private too. Overall 10 out of 10 would definitely rent the cabin again.

It really is the most beautiful cabin! The stream is so very lovely and the hosts are so nice and friendly! The bed is super comfy and the little heater that is provided is perfect for cooler weather. The shower is just amazing. The whole place is so beautiful and the perfect spot to rest! I definitely want to go back and sincerely think everyone should go there at least once in their life! Thank you, Christina and Doug!

Camp Timberock is a rare find. We chose the cabin because of the unlimited options for paddling and hiking. Despite the cold temperatures, we took advantage of the area and spent a lot of time exploring. One of my favorite parts of Timberock would be the deck with the outdoor fireplace. We also appreciated all of the supplies in the kitchen, the extra blankets and the endless supply of wood for the fire. Hope to return next year!
