Holiday rentals with lake access in New Hanover County

We visit Carolina Beach often, and this spot is definitely one of our favorites, we’d absolutely stay here again! The location is perfect, with easy beach access, and the place was just as described. It comfortably fit me, my husband, and our two dogs, and could have easily accommodated another couple as well

Great location, and a great time. Backyard with pool is perfect with plenty of room for activities and entertaining. You can walk to the beach and restaurants within minutes.

We were impressed how comfortable her place was for us. We were moving from New Jersey to Leland and had a gap between closings and needed a comfortable place for an 8 night stay and it was absolutely perfect. Its a beautiful comfortable home and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Extremely happy with our choice of accomodations. Highly recommend. Beautiful neighborhood and pool area too. Just lovely.

Clean, pretty, easy to find and convenient location. It is listed as entire house, however, there is a unit downstairs which is fine but the backyard and deck is open to both units. That wasn’t a problem but would have been good to know as we both had pets there. Again, no issues and the place is perfect for location, cleanliness and good hosts so no complaints!

my little family decided the morning after Christmas to take a spontaneous trip to the coast. The hostess was super accommodating with our last minute request to use her beautiful home. The home was clean and just as described and pictured. We were able to walk to the beach and restaurants. 10 minutes from the aquarium. The location was perfect. I was also blown away by how well stocked the home was with the numerous kids toys, books, coloring, even kids bath soap was provided. By far one of my favorite Airbnb we've used for the family.

Five Stars All the Way! We had the most incredible stay at Vaycash on Bald Head Island! From the moment we walked in, it felt less like a rental and more like staying at a dear friend’s beautiful home. Stef has thought of everything—the home is gorgeously decorated, full of charm, and stocked with more amenities than any place we've ever stayed. This was hands-down the most above-and-beyond experience we’ve ever had with an Airbnb. Every detail was thoughtfully done—from the fully equipped kitchen (a dream to cook in!) to the peaceful, tucked-away location in the woods that gave us the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. The golf cart made exploring the island a breeze, and the kids were thrilled with the bikes and kayaks. Stef’s generosity and attention to detail made this getaway truly special—we didn’t want to leave! We can’t recommend Vaycash highly enough and are already dreaming about our next visit.

We had such a wonderful time! The house was so beautiful and perfect for our family! Tyler was very responsive any time we had questions about anything. The porch was so relaxing! Golf carting around the island and exploring was probably our favorite! We hope to visit again!

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Carolina Beach property. Ligia was an exceptional host — she was very responsive and kept in constant communication throughout our stay. When we faced an A/C issue, she was quick to take action and made sure it was resolved promptly. She is truly on top of everything and made sure we were comfortable at all times. Her husband, Carlos, was also incredibly helpful and supportive. Overall, their hospitality made our stay even better. Highly recommend

Great place for a beach getaway! Location is about a 7 min walk to the nearest public beach access and the place was clean and beautifully decorated. Would definitely recommend.

This is my third time staying here and it was amazing as always! I love being able to rent a golf cart and it being a short walk and drive from the boardwalk!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our week in Julia’s place. The unit was very clean and nicely appointed. We were thrilled to find a welcome gift from Julia upon our arrival! She was always available to answer our questions and provide recommendations for the area. Being the off season, the area was very quiet and not at all crowded. We enjoyed the tiki bar right next door for lunch. We enjoyed watching dolphins from our oceanfront balcony! If we return to Carolina Beach in the future, we will happily request this place again.

My stay at this airb&b was perfect and so peaceful. It was 2min walk to the beach and boardwalk. Everything was walkable distance. I parked my car the whole time i was there and did not had to drive once. Its perfect location and really cute Airbnb. I will definitely be staying here every time i visit Carolina Beach. Host was really nice friendly and very responsive. This has to be one of the best Airbnbs located at prime location near the beach and all fun activities.

Super cute and cozy just as described. Well stocked and felt right at home. Hosts were super responsive and provided clear instructions throughout the entire booking and checking out process. Perfect stay for a quick trip or long weekend. Would definitely stay here again!

Upon arrival, drove down one of the most enchanting driveways I've seen in years. I was looking for peace and quiet, and found it. Lovers of flora and fauna will delight in this spot. Water birds abound, so bring your binoculars please. Although in the city of Wilmington, the home feels more like a stay at a barrier island, ripe with very old oaks. Simply lovely and outstanding AC system and a very comfortable bed. Only two things would make this cottage even more perfect, a full length sofa and a second television in the bedroom. But...it is still wonderful.

Danielle was the perfect hostess! She was quick communicating, the property was as described, she accommodated a change (after it was too late to change) to our travel needs, and basically she and her property were a fabulous oasis minutes from the airport! What's not to love? 😀

Great spot in a great location. Giant kitchen and plenty of room inside and on the front porch. Kitchen was big enough to host Thanksgiving! Everything was just as advertised and very enjoyable.

Will and Morgan were so flexible with us- responses were fast and friendly. The space is great- so close to the beach and very walkable. Comfy beds and soft towels. 10000000% recommend!

This is the second time we have stayed at this Airbnb. It feels like our “second home” in NC when we go to visit our daughter. They provide all you need for a successful and stress-free stay. Thank you for sharing your house. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again next spring break.

The place and stay were fantastic. The kitchen had everything that we needed, which is what I was worried about. Would stay here again 100%!

This was a lovely property and an excellent stay, highly recommend!! First off, the location is prime - it's very convenient to the beaches (about 15 min to Carolina Beach, and 20 to Wrightsville) and a reasonable drive to other Wilmington classics like the Riverwalk, the Cargo district, and shopping centers. There are several grocery options close by (Lowe's Foods, Publix) if you need to stock up for your stay. Michelle's directions for finding the property were spot on and simple to follow. The property itself is quiet and peaceful, right on the intracoastal with unbeatable views from the living room and larger bedroom, not to mention the back deck and yard. The house was well stocked and spotless, and very comfortable! I hope to stay for a longer stretch in the future.

I didn't get to see much of the beach but the location of this place wasn't too blame! I went off season, and still a bit chilly but place is super walkable to the local fare and attractions (including the beach). Space was clean and cozy.
