Farmhouse Market & Inn is located on Main Street in the quaint town of New Prague. Just 45 minutes from the Twin Cities, New Prague is a great little Czech community with lots to offer travelers. The inn is in the second floor of a historic 1890's building, above Farmhouse Market. Farmhouse Market features local and organic foods & goods; and was featured in the New York Times in 2018 for its innovative business model. The inn was carefully designed with style and comfort in mind. Czech us out!
“We were attending a wedding at The Broz in New Prague and due to terrible weather decided at the last minute to stay overnight. Kendra responded to my inquiry instantly and was able to accommodate us with almost no warning! She was so kind and helpful, giving clear instructions and even some breakfast recommendations (we went to one of them, Ettlin’s, which was good). We were able to park in the provided space and walk to and from the wedding, less than a 2 minute walk away, which made for a very relaxing evening without worrying about the weather. The room is small but cute, clean and cosy. The bed was comfortable, the towels large, soft and fluffy, and there were even robes provided, although we had brought our own. There is another room (separate security code) in the same apartment but there are no shared walls as there is a communal area between the two containing tea and coffee plus a small fridge, microwave and toaster oven. We had quiet and respectful ‘roommates’ but we decided against making early morning drinks because we were concerned about disturbing them, so that is a potential small inconvenience. If we ever attend another event at the same venue we would definitely try to stay at Kendra’s place again.”
Lower level private entrance into the guest apartment/suite. Self check in keypad. Outside smoking only. We are staycation ready and a great work from home alternative. Ideal for relaxing after a busy day.
“Christine's place was very nice. It was in a nice neighborhood and looked exactly like the pictures; pretty and clean and private. We appreciated the private entrance and patio area with a table and chairs. The backyard was a delight; like a private park! There was even a fire ring with firewood and chairs available. There's a small lake a few blocks away, and other lakes and parks within a short distance. We would recommend Purgatory Park for it's amazing walking and biking trails. While biking the trails there, it was hard to remember that we were in the middle of an urban area! We would highly recommend Christine's place.”
The Nordic Cottage is a 16'x9' cabin in our back yard & overlooks a stone patio area & pool. Our lot is a 3/4 acre wooded site with an upper level fire pit. Sliding door leads the patio area and access to the swimming pool. Our neighborhood is across the street from a trail access leading to about 85 miles of trails leading all over Chaska and the rest of Eastern Carver County. The bathroom is located in our of home which is next to cottage. Parking on driveway or out front, on the street.
“Such a great place to stay! The cottage is adorable and has such a wonderful energy to it. Greg was worried it would be a little cold because of the weather the day before, but he put an extra space heater in there and we were nice and toasty. There’s a Bluetooth sound system and the microwave was a nice touch! I thought it might be a little awkward walking into the house to use the bathroom, but it really wasn’t at all. Greg and Cindy were such great hosts and were very welcoming. They’ve thought of everything when it comes to accommodating their guests.Their dog Nora is a big sweetheart too!”
