A hidden gem by the pond, built in private seclusion on the tip of a headland by Vuorineuvos S.A. Tervo, offers a glimpse into history. This atmospheric, electrified cottage offers peace and quiet in the heart of nature, yet is only about 15 km from the amenities of the town of Nurmes (Bomba and Hyvärilä are about a 10-minute drive away). The shallow, fish-rich pond offers excellent recreational opportunities, and the surrounding area provides good mushroom and berry picking grounds. An idyllic destination for a family holiday in a cottage too!

Erakkomaja Savukallio – Off-Grid

Do you miss stopping in the middle of nature? Savukallio is a Lappish-style wilderness cabin that invites you to breathe deeply and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The core idea of the place is: “Everyone is a hermit at heart” – a place to reset the mind and clear your thoughts. The cabin, built from old smoke sauna logs, is located in the lake landscape of Savo, about 70 km from Kuopio. The property offers a simple, authentic and natural wilderness experience for couples and travellers seeking peace and quiet.

Alapihan Arboretum guest house with sauna

Cozy guest house and sauna in a wild tree species park. There are about 250 different species of woody trees and shrubs in the two-hectare area. The trees were planted in 1970 and form their own microclimate, where the air is clean and good to breathe. The area is still partly in its natural state and renovation is being done in the area. For those interested, we will be happy to introduce the arboretums during the visit. The household includes two Lapphunds, a cat, a rooster and 6 hens. Breakfast available

Beautiful log house on the shore of Lake Pielinen. A quiet location, stunning scenery and good outdoor opportunities best describe this place. In winter, you can access the ski slope from the ice in front of the cottage. In addition, the ski slopes of the Timitra ski resort are within walking distance of the cottage. In the courtyard of the cottage, there are good downhill skiing opportunities, as well as a great setting for winter activities. However, city services are available a few kilometers away.

There are excellent fishing opportunities on the lake. What's more, the location is ideal for working remotely! Lahti beach is shallow and great for children. Use a rowing boat and a paddleboard. Available for rent for fishing with a motor boat. Bring your own linens and towels.

Fully equipped holiday home by a large body of water

It is easy to relax in this unique and peaceful holiday resort. The magnificent villa, combining new and old, is located in a pure lake landscape, along the Kuopio-Tahko route, as part of Kallavesi. The villa's courtyard has a carport and a wood/furniture shed. The large windows of the villa bring nature indoors everywhere. A large terrace connects the villa, the beach sauna and the piers. It's good to be here. 45 min drive to Kuopio (52 km), 16 min to Riistavesi (18 min to Kaavi).

Little cottage in the tranquility of nature

Nature's peace is present. Neighbors are not visible and very rarely heard. The area marked in green in the last picture (3ha of forest land) is available for dog activities or even for riding an ATV. The rivers converge on the plot, creating a fair amount of coastline. You can sit on the river bank in the evening and listen to the otter or beaver splashing. Or a worm-eater surprising prey. Behind the river, I find a sandy desert covered with pines and lichens.

Kuohu - sauna cabin on the shore of a rapid

Kuohu is an atmospheric, warm sauna cottage built in 2015 on the banks of a small river. In the noise of the rapids, you can relax in the sauna, barbecue or campfire. The cottage is located along a small sandy road, completely in its own peace. Koli National Park is about a 30-minute drive, Höytiäinen beach is just over 2km away. We rent canoes and have picnic packages with local products.

Relax with your friends or family in this pittoresque Finnish cottage with a sauna. There is also a rowing boat free to use and to fish. In the hammock you can have a good nap in the sunshine. There is a big patio to have a grill feast and enjoy summer. Great routes for hiking and mointain biking. If you want I can arrange a tub for your stay for extra cost. Please ask for availability.
