Welcome to Northam Nook, my beautiful cottage set in the centre of the coastal village of Northam. A mile from Westward Ho! with sandy beach. Close to the quaint fishing village of Appledore, with it’s bustling quayside and ferry across to Instow. A 10 minute walk to the coast path. The cottage is ideal for couples, families and friends any time of the year. Northam with it’s shops, fish & chips, Chinese take away, pub and restaurant, is a great base to explore the wonderful North Devon Coast.

This 200 year old barn has been lovingly renovated to create a modern, open plan apartment that provides spacious accommodation for two. Its whitewashed stone walls and bare timbers retain the charm of the original building and two full length windows open onto a private patio and garden and flood the apartment with sunlight. Furnished with a mixture of the modern and the vintage, the walls are hung with original artworks and these elements combine to create a unique and beautiful retreat.

Our place is a charmingly quirky seaside cottage, decorated with handmade bespoke furniture created from locally found driftwood. Set right in the heart of Croyde we've got views front and back of open fields and quaint cottages. The Manor Pub is across the road and it's a 2 minute walk along the stream to Blue Groove, Billy Budds, The Thatch and the local shop. Take a 10 minute walk and you'll be on the beach!

The Stables is a recently refurbished annexe in a quiet residential area. You will have the whole property to yourselves with a private outdoor area and parking on site. The accommodation sleeps up to 3 people with a main double bedroom and small double sofa bed in the living room. Bideford town centre is a 15 minute walk, while the pretty villages of Instow and Appledore, and the resort of Westward Ho! with its famous pebble ridge and sandy beach are all a few minutes drive/bus trip.

A short 5 minute drive away, or 20 minute level walk, is the quaint fishing village of Appledore and in the opposite direction, is the holiday village of Westward Ho!, both boasting local shops, cafes and a host of pubs and restaurants.

We hope that you maybe able to park your car on arrival and not need to use it again during your stay. Access up the lane next to the house to wonderful panoramic walks and views of Baggy Point. We hope its a perfect place to rest those sandy feet and unwind after a full day of sea air.
