Townhome holiday rentals in Northern Europe

Lovely characterful property right in the heart of the local community. The house was lovely and warm when we arrived late at night and we felt able to relax straight away. Having 2 cars meant that parking was not easy, but we were able to find somewhere and were grateful for the spot around the back of the property. The children appreciated the space and being able to play with the toys provided. The key safe boxes with codes worked really well and it was good to have more than 1 set of keys making it easier when we went out separately. The back door proved interesting to open and lock again, but we persevered and got there eventually. We walked to the local gift shops and beach which was lovely to do without needing the car. We went to the local Fish and Chip shop which we can highly recommend as it tasted so fresh. Sunday dinner at The Falcon was also excellent. I would recommend this lovely place and it's owner, and would be happy to return in the future.

Lorna left some lovely treats for our arrival and was very helpful during our stay. The Antrim coast is stunning and would recommend Lorna’s home as a base to explore. Spacious, comfortable, charming interior and within easy walking distance of the city centre, we will definitely stay again. John is an exceptional host; super helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend!

We have stayed in the house several times and are happy to come back as it meets our needs. Parking at the house, close to public transport, good beds, 1 bathroom and 1 toilet.

second visit to Peter's place in Aberdeen - Superb again. so close to city centre/Pittoddrie for the match and such a comfortable place to stay. Already planning next trip to fit round availability here!

Cosy little home a couple of minutes from the top of the harbour. Lots of thoughtful touches, like dressing gowns in the bedroom, pats of butter, honey, jam and marmalade, long life milk sachets, coffee pods, flowers... a lovely welcome. We brought our dogs for one night and planned on eating out on arrival, but the cosy fireplace (logs etc provided) and projector tempted us to stay in for a film night with Waitrose 2 minutes away for supper supplies. There was even microwavable popcorn sachets left for us. There is a small green just to the right of the front door and a few quirky stores a couple of streets to the right. The main town is left and we passed through, via Staples bakery for locally roasted coffee and delicious pastries to keep us going, to get to the coastal cliff-top walk to Broadstairs. Lunch on the harbour arm and return mostly via the lower promenade, with stretches of sandy beach, on the way back. Perfect location for a change of scene and sea air!

Had a great time staying at Stephen’s place with my family (spouse & 3 kids). It was ideal for us as a base to explore Belfast: we walked to the Titanic museum and Science museum, and there are great restaurants nearby (Villa Italia was good for families). We had one small plumbing issue during our stay but Stephen quickly sorted this (even though he homestead on holiday the time). Overall, highly recommended as a base to explore Belfast!

This is a great place to stay in Brighton, especially if there are several of you. It is exactly as described – spacious, lots of natural light, very central with easy access to everywhere, and surrounded by lots of places to eat. Having an outdoor area really is lovely, and with a sea view from the stairs and one of the bedrooms it was all you could ask for. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to stay again when visiting the lovely relaxing town of Brighton.

The house was a wonderful surprise, better than the photos in fact. Sadly we only stayed for one night and didn’t spend much time in the house. But we have all said how great it was and that we’d stay again if in the area. Heather was also very responsive and friendly when we had questions, and accommodated an early check in last minute. We had a great time staying here - really quirky place with a lovely little roof terrace although the weather wasn't so great to enjoy it much but would love to return and enjoy evening drinks and morning coffee on it in the summer! The location was really great to nip out for a walk along the beach, spot of shopping, and enjoy the many restaurants in the area! Great communication from Sarah and detailed instructions sent to find the place - I had a little trouble finding it but got there in the end! The parking space is quite a walk away so definitely pull up outside and drop stuff off before parking up. Thanks for a great stay and we hope to come back soon!

Lovely house with all we needed to spend Christmas there. Well equipped kitchen, even with sharp knifes which made Christmas dinner prep easier! Daniel was an excellent and generous host, replying to our questions quickly and leaving a lovely welcome pack as well as decorating the house for Christmas. Location was also very convenient, with buses in to town at the end of the road and walking distance to the University and botanical gardens.

This is an amazing place to stay with everything you need. Communication with Liam and Harriet was perfect! The whole environment was graciously peaceful. The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. Everything was as described. We had a pleasant stay at Liam and Harriet. Homely and enjoyable. We are very grateful to both of you.

Lovely historic building in stunning surroundings. The house was clean and well equipped. We particularly liked the local books in the living room and the access to a washing machine. Thomas was friendly and responsive. Would recommend.

Lovely townhouse in Bala. Had everything we needed for an enjoyable Christmas stay. Much appreciated the Christmas tree when we arrived, and the hot tub ready to go! Some lovely walks around the town, and the locals were all so friendly.

A wonderful spacious stylish home that's on a quiet street but within easy walking distance of all the major sights.

The five of us (3 adults + 2 kids) stayed at Ana's place for a week long vacation. It was excellent and we'd definitely stay there again. The home has lots of charm and is a 10 minute walk from the tube --- it takes 15-30 minutes on the tube to reach most major tourist destinations. There are some very good local dining options --- highly recommend the scones and coffee at Gail's and dinner at The Whippet Inn. Ana was very responsive to any questions we had.

A perfect base for a family. It has everything you need, maybe some more cover would be appreciated, and they will leave a pair of towels for each one. Quiet area, allows you to rest; and move to the center of the village, walking. The surrounding area has everything we need. Perfect communal pool, less crowded in the mornings.

We loved our stay here. The bedrooms are all upstairs, allowing you to enjoy the living areas and kitchen without the bedrooms being on the same floor. The kitchen had everything and we used the grill many times. Parking right in front of the property was very convenient. The location is really hard to beat, because you could be in Puerto Banus in 5 minutes, Old Town Marbella in 10 minutes, and easy access to the highways to go to Estapona or Malaga. It was a great stay for us.

I had a very pleasant stay at Georgina's place. It was very clean, tidy, and comfortable, located in a gated complex with a pool, etc., and nice surroundings. There is a lovely solarium on the roof with views of the lakes. A bar and restaurant are only a few yards away if you do not want to travel too far. The town, with more bars and restaurants, is around a 15-minute walk away. There is no bus service in Ciudad Quesada, so a car is advised, as there are many nice places to visit within a 30-minute drive. Georgina, the host, was on hand to help with any problems, which was very helpful. It’s a nice place in a good area to visit.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! It was very cosy, clean, (though it's worth noting that the ceilings are quite low if you don't watch your head) and the surroundings are endlessly explorable.

We had a wonderful mini break - we came to see our daughter who has recently started at Exeter University in Falmouth so wanted somewhere central within the town so we could readily get to see her and explore the delights of Falmouth. The house was perfect for what we needed, very comfortable and homely and we loved exploring Falmouth and the surrounding area - heaven!
