Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. It is  equipt with a fully stocked kitchenette, private bathroom, comfortable living space, large screen tv and office work space.  Enjoy some of the most picturesque landscape Northern Indiana has to offer.  We are just a 10 min walk from Stone Lake and have kayak rentals available upon request.  We are conveniently located 8 miles from Shipshewana and Middlebury, IN and just a 40 minute drive from Notre Dame.

There is plenty of natural lighting for the evenings.

Situated on 6 acres and with convenient (2 mile) access to I-65, our cozy Country Cottage is a great choice! Enjoy the cottage feel of this recently renovated (new cabinets, flooring, appliances) and charmingly decorated home, located in close proximity to local attractions! Our 650 square foot cottage is ideal for 1 - 4 guests.

Rustic Lodge -Oak Tree Lodge

The Oak Tree Lodge is located in a country setting and offers a private lodge with an outdoor area for relaxing and entertaining. The former barn structure has been beautifully transformed in a rustic and comfortable lodge to rest, relax, and renew. We have renewed it into a fresh new life - as a lodge to invite friends and guests to enjoy and relax. The listed rate is for four people, and additional quests will be $25.00 per person.
