That's exactly what you can experience in Jølet, the cabin that is specially designed to give an optimal feeling of closeness to nature. On the edge of a "jøl" (a type of riverbank), created by the river's thousand-year effort to reach the fjord, the cabin partially floats in the terrain. Situated completely by itself without close neighbors, but overlooking the cultural landscape and village, this is a perfect place for both relaxation and activity.

In this place you live at the top of the orchard at the farm Påldtun. Here you can enjoy a nice view of fjords and mountains. There is a short distance to the jetty. Here you can rent a boat and sauna or take a morning swim. You will experience life in the village with grazing animals and work that takes place in the season. When you stay in our orchard you are free to pick and eat the fruit that is on the farm. Short distance to Sandane city center. We accept bookings for mountain trips/fishing trips in our local area. In winter, for the most adventurous, there is also the possibility of ice bathing! Afterwards, you can relax in the sauna (extra cost). From Helsinki-Vantaa Airport by train to the lake shore? Log cabin on a beautiful detached house plot. Possibility to swim, rent a wood-fired sauna, kayak (2pcs), sup board (2pcs) and rowing boat. The lake and the adjacent rapids area are popular with fishermen. The Birgitta trail hiking trail and the Lempäälä canoeing trail run alongside. 2 km to the cross-country ski trails. 1.2 km to the train station, from which you can go to Tampere (12 min) and Helsinki (1h20min). Ideapark shopping center 7km.

Our modern, well-equipped home sits right by the sea with breathtaking mountain views, surrounded by pristine Arctic nature. Spot reindeer, otters, moose, or even whales, and watch the Northern Lights from the porch. Steps away, enjoy a panoramic sauna by the water. A traditional BBQ hut is available as an optional rental. This is our beloved home, and many guests tell us they fall in love with it too. Few places blend comfort and wilderness like this. We never tire of it—and hope you will, too.

This is a luxurious outdoor experience in the raw and beautiful nature of Finnmark. You can enjoy the peaceful surroundings outside, or relax indoors in the living room while watching the Northern Lights through the large panoramic windows. For international guests, the easiest way to reach the property is by flying to Lakselv or Alta Airport and renting a car. You can park your car conveniently right in front of the entrance, and an EV charger is available for use at the cabin (NOK 100/ day).
