Kansai Airport is 9 minutes by train and 5 minutes on foot. We rent out the entire traditional Japanese merchant's mansion (old private house). Yuri is the name of the house that has been passed down from generation to generation in our family. Enjoy a relaxing Japanese trip with just your family and friends, without having to worry about other groups, rather than just a guest house. This inn is very popular with those who are interested in traditional Japanese culture and anime lovers such as Demon Slayer and Naruto. It is an old private house, but it has been completely renovated to ensure a comfortable stay for all guests. It can be used for a wide range of stays for families and groups of 1 to 10 people. Founded in 1957, my grandfather, Eiichi Tanuchi, ran an inn called Aiwasho for the cultural development of Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture. In order to continue to protect its history and traditions, his granddaughter, Kiushuko, reopened the inn under its original name in 2021. Built on the site of Ueno Castle, this inn is a traditional Japanese house with tatami mats on the floor. Please relax in one of the two Japanese-style rooms. The inn is located on a hill overlooking the city of Tanabe, so you can enjoy the morning sun, sunset, and night view. On a calm day, we recommend having tea in a wicker chair on the edge of the hinoki cypress wooden deck, which was made in the image of the moon viewing platform of the Katsura Imperial Villa. The newly installed bath and toilet are spacious and barrier-free, so you can bathe together or use them easily even if you need assistance. We installed popin.aladdin (lighting with projector) in one of the Japanese-style rooms. It projects on the sliding doors You can watch TV, music, movies, etc. Enjoy BGM on YouTube before you go out in the morning. My parents, Kisaku and Shuko Tanai (Japanese), live next to the house, so please let me know if you need anything.

Limited to one group per day, Guest House Agai is convenient for walking the Kumano Kodo and playing in the river. You can experience country life.

Guesthouse Agae is a limited stay for one group that has been renovated from an old private house.The property is in a very convenient location, with the Kumano Kodo and Chikurōji approximately 550 metres away (around a 7-minute walk), and a supermarket (A-COOP), a bus stop (Kodo Aruki no Sato Chikatsuyu), and a restaurant (Tororoya) all within a 1-minute walk. As the owner is a local Kumano Kodo guide, we will do our best to answer any questions you may have about walking the ancient pilgrimage route, provide advice, and offer transport if needed.We can also provide a personal guide, so please feel free to enquire. There are 2 bedrooms(Tatami-room) and 1 living room, gameroom, bathroom, shower toilet, all of the room are only for you. *Children is free of charge if your children don't need a bed and break fast. There are air conditioners in bedroom and livingroom.
